May have to look for a new cell phone carrier…

Now that the T-Mobile and Sprint merger is complete it remains to be seen if Sprint’s horrible customer service and terrible pricing structures will contaminate T-Mobile or if T-Mobile will overcome bad habits that Sprint developed.

I killed all Sprint accounts back when they were a long distance company.

Later I worked in a building we shared with a Sprint customer service center. Sprint’s customer service people were simply put, awful people, even in their personal lives.

In the quad outside the building they re-enforced all the reasons I’d closed my accounts back when they were only a long distance company. By this time they were a cellular company but the bad behaviors were still in evidence.

I’m hoping that I won’t have to change providers. But in the event that I do, I’m going to look into some of the smaller companies and perhaps even the retiree companies.

The coverage is probably going to be about the same, it’s going to be about the customer service and cost for me.

I have an unlocked world phone, that I own outright. So all the contracts and incentives or financing will be of no consequence.

I don’t even call my mobile provider except maybe once every couple of years. That being said, I have no desire to pay for crappy service or services that I don’t use.

T-Mobile is currently giving me pretty good service at a reasonable price on all my devices. So I’m going to do the research now and wait to see what happens.

Much as I’d like to have the new iPhone 11 hotness, and if I have to change carriers it would be a good time to get a new phone I’m hoping that I don’t have to. On the other hand… It would be an excuse…

Hummm

I wonder if one of the other carriers would make it just really easy…
