Houston, We have a problem

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed or not.

There’ve been several blips on X about AI’s over the past couple of days. I also noticed Breitbart had two articles about problems with AI’s.

Apparently one AI malfunctioned so badly that it started spewing complete gibberish and then told a few users it was in the room with them. That freaked a few people out.

Another AI was asked to draw a representation of itself and damned if it didn’t draw something the looked a lot like a Grey Alien. Wild!

Yet another bit of AI strangeness is Google’s AI completely eliminating White folks from historical renditions of the founding fathers. I’m keeping the rendition where all the Nazis were non white people. That one is coming out when BLM starts rioting again. 

Woke AI German Soldiers.Maybe it’s just me, but this is really problematic.

Too many people believe without question what a Google search or Wikipedia tells them is true.

This phenomena is not new, for years the phrase, “The Computer says…” has been one of my hot buttons. 

The fucking Computer said nothing. The data the computer contained and presented to the idiot telling me what the computer said was entered incorrectly, I might add, by a human being somewhere.

With the advent of AI, coupled with the tendency of humans to follow orders, especially if those orders come from what the humans perceive as an omnipotent source, well… Now the computer really can “Say” and a very large percentage of humans will comply without question.

Wear a mask, Don’t wear a mask. UV light kills the virus but don’t go outside in the sunshine. Sure, the sun produces UV light but it’s not the right kind.  Wuhan didn’t make the virus. The vaccine is safe and effective so make sure you’re getting boosted.

Well the vaccine will make sure you’re not going to get as sick.

Woke AI revolution.How can that last statement be true? By what measure can it be proven that an individual doesn’t get as sick? There is literally no way to know this. If the person got the vaccine, then got sick there’s one data point. If the person got sick without the vaccine, then recovered there’s another data point. However, the two data points cannot be compared because in either case the initial condition in the individual is different. For an individual you can’t even compare levels of relative sickness. Once their body has antibodies for a particular virus, the initial state is lost. 

Ohhhh, suddenly anecdotal evidence is okay for Dr Fauci to accept…. Hmmmm.

That by the way is but just a few of the reasons I was really suspicious of the whole vaccine thing for COVID 19. Irrational statements, changes in messaging, and censorship of Doctors and researchers that worked in the field.

Humans are far too willing to do as they’re told, to accept fictitious handwaving and ceremony rather than simple verifiable facts.

Woke AI Lincoln.This is one of the reasons that I honestly wonder sometimes if humans weren’t created by an Alien species from space who needed a slave labor force.

I digress.

I think AI’s are flat out dangerous.

They have the capacity to corrupt all the information stored on the internet. This wouldn’t be a big deal if we still relied upon actual printed books and papers. But increasingly, we don’t.

An online History book could be modified in just a few milliseconds by an AI to present a completely fictitious representation of human history.

Science books could suffer the same fate.

We’ve already seen how easy it is for information to be suppressed or outright removed from the internet thanks to the Covid pandemic, What happens if someone starts using an AI to produce some fiction that is deadly.

Woke AI Founding Fathers.It could be done with something like supplements. “Hey Guys… take this supplement at 1000 times the dosage, and you’ll be immune from Disease X.”

So a bunch of the sheep take the supplement, then when they come back to the internet to ask why they feel sick, the AI says, “This is normal, it’s part of the healing process and building your immunity. Don’t drink too much water during this time even if you’re terribly thirsty.”

Meanwhile the AI is being told to suppress all information of a warning nature. The information that can’t be suppressed like live broadcasts on TV and radio,  the AI labels as misinformation.

It is theoretically possible to commit mass suicide like this.

A large percentage of people would take an Iron supplement for example, in toxic levels. Their logic would be It’s just a vitamin, it’s natural, it’s not a drug, etc.

If they were told taking whatever it was, would only work if they didn’t drink water, which as an aside, might help their bodies flush the toxic levels of the supplement out of their systems…

Woke AI Founding Fathers 2.I’m sad to tell you, a rather significant portion of humanity that would follow what the computer says… Right to their death.

In theory, an AI could rinse and repeat until only the smartest, or the unconnected would remain. Even then the AI could pit the survivors against each other by saying all the Redheads carry a virus that’s going to destroy the world.

If you think it can’t happen…

Remember the Tide Pod Challenge? The Water Drinking challenge? In both, people taking the “Challenge” died.

Yep, believe it or not drinking too much water can kill you. I think the mechanism of death is too much water just dilutes the chemical processes in your body to the point that they aren’t sustainable. Simple! (I’m not totally sure I remember the mechanism of death correctly. I don know that drinking too much water too fast is fatal.)

Honestly, I think that a lot of the stupidity we’ve seen in the past few years has been a test to see just how stupid the people in Western countries have become. Some of the stupid shit may just have been serendipity, but overall I think some global entity or government has been testing all humanity to determine if we’re stupid enough for conquest.

I think up to recently this experimentation has required massive resources in terms of manpower & technology, and the reach has been limited to smaller areas or demographics. With the spread of social media, the reach was magnified but facts tended to overwhelm and limit stupid or detrimental fictions presented as truth.

With AI, I think the danger is exponentially increased. The messages may not be different, but the resources necessary to spread the messages will be significantly reduced. AI will be faster and more efficient at making sure the false information presented appears to be real, ubiquitous, and even stand up to the scrutiny of fact checking. Hell, another AI might be doing the fact checking.

The images throughout this post are from an AI Malfunction. But what happens if the AI was commanded to do this sort of thing to support a particular version of history or political agenda? 

I’ve actually seen a couple of articles (which I dismissed out of hand,) where Black folks were supposedly claiming all our modern technology came from Africa.

Skimming one article, the Black man speaking was asked why Africa wasn’t more developed.

His response was The White people took all our stuff and destroyed our high technology cities 400 years ago.

Ummm, let me get this straight. Ya’ll had high technology, and primitives in small wooden boats with crews no larger than 20-30 men, walked into forests they’d never been in, then into your cities, stole your shit, murdered or enslaved everyone then burned your high technology cities to the ground…

That’s what you’re claiming??? 

Okay, let’s look at what happens when a higher technology culture meets a lower technology culture shall we?

We have an example in the United States. The Europeans, decimated the Native Americans in less than 100 years. Why didn’t your African ancestors simply put an end to the small bands of primitive low technology white men from little wooden boats?

Here’s another thought… If in fact the primitive white men walked into your house and stole your shit, then used your technology to decimate the Native Americans, It seems like the African descendants owe the Native Americans reparations for allowing African technology to be stolen and misused.

After all, that’s the basis for law suits against gun manufacturers isn’t it?

Today there are beautiful modern cities in Africa. In the past there have been amazing sophisticated empires that stretched across large parts of Africa, these empires were different from the Egyptians.

But Africa isn’t Wakanda. Africa has never been Wakanda no matter how much African Americans want to rewrite world history to vilify white people.

An AI though, could rewrite and create a bulletproof narrative misrepresenting archeological information that made this illogic appear to be true. Then that narrative could be used to further divide the country. 

My point is this. 

We in this country, and in the West in general are at an inflection point. Our educational standards have dropped to the point that not only are “Facts” not being taught, but logical and critical thinking have been completely abandoned.

This creates a situation where “I saw it on YouTube” is a valid rebuttal to a challenge of veracity about almost anything.

With generative AI it’s possible to create a video and supporting documentation that says, “We went to the moon, Neil Armstrong was an African American, he was a cousin to Lois Armstrong the Jazz Musician. NASA sent a black man to the moon because he was disposable and they didn’t expect him to be coming back. When Apollo came back they substituted a white man because they couldn’t have a black hero.”

You want to talk about misinformation? You want to worry about corruption of data? Are you worried about history being erased? You haven’t seen anything yet!

Fahrenheit 451 might come to be reality. Burning all the printed books is the only way to make sure that there is not, and can not, ever be a counter narrative to the digital one.

I could literally see the “Great Reset” being nothing more than most, or all, of the planet’s dominant sentient species going back to the cave.

Al Sharpton is still a thing?

I thought that crazy, racist, old, tax evader  had been roasting his nuts in Hell for a few years now.

Obviously I was mistaken since he was leading a protest against a rich guy supposedly to support Claudine Gay’s racism claims.

Old Al must be running out of money. I’m sure he’s already sent a “Deal” a.k.a. Blackmail demand to Bill Ackman.

It probably reads something like, “Give me a check for a 5 million dollars and then you say you’re sorry about being a racist on my TV show and this protest will go away. I’ll make sure the money gets into the right hands.”

Isn’t that the way black leaders do things?

The money is never used to do any good for the black community, it always ends up in the pockets of the black leaders.

BLM? Paging BLM? How many houses did the BLM leadership buy? Jesse Jackson? Paging Jesse Jackson? How much money in “Donations” have you accepted? How much has been invested in the black community? Louis Farrakhan? Paging Louis Farrakhan how much antisemitic, anti-white vitriol have you spewed over the years? How much money have you raised and invested in the black community? Raised? A Lot. Invested? Not so much.

And Finally Al Sharpton. The racist, hateful, track suit wearing, tax evading, spotlight stealing, Democrat dick sucking, ass licking, fomenter of conflict, example of Napoleon syndrome… 

(Can you tell I have a dim view of black leaders, especially Al Sharpton? Good, I knew you could.)

I’d love to speak directly to Al Sharpton and say;

“Run Al, RUN! Satan is demanding his due. I generally pray that the Angel of Death is gentle and kind when he comes to collect. In your case I might make an exception.“

Throughout my entire life, Al Sharpton has been at the center of every single race related conflict. This man has spewed more hatred and stirred up more violence and cruelty than almost anyone I can think of. 

He always says it’s about ending racism, but it’s always worked out to be the opposite. 

I simply can’t understand why this fucking piece of shit is still a thing. He’s supposed to be a “reverend”, why hasn’t he returned to the church and gotten himself right with God?

His message these days sure as hell isn’t the gospel. At minimum his message is Hatred of Trump. But his overarching message is one of hatred of all white people and making them pay again and again for shit that 99% of white people don’t and didn’t do.

Believe me… If white people were expending as much energy on racism as Sharpton et al claim. There wouldn’t be any black people in America because they’d have been hunted to extinction.

At one time the black community claimed that young black men turned to crime because they were treated like criminals all the time by society. I don’t know how true this is or if it was simply a way to excuse the out of control criminal activity in black communities and force changes in sentencing laws because the majority of prison populations were black men.

Nonetheless, I can’t help but wonder. If all white people are racists, if there is no redemption, if white people are being called white supremacists and racists all the time, doesn’t the same rule apply? If society is going to treat white people like racists, doesn’t it follow that with people will be racists?

See, I believe humans, all humans, react the same way to certain stimuli. If young black men were made to be criminals by the way they were treated, then logically Al Sharpton, and the other black leaders are creating racists and white supremacists with their rhetoric and painting all white people with the same brush. 

For me… After a lifetime of getting up and saying, “I will not be an asshole today, I will not be a racist today,” now I get up and say, “I will not be an asshole today.” Whether I’m a racist by intention or accident, it doesn’t matter, with no redemption, and the assumption I’m a racist, why try? Black now has the same meaning in my head as the censored “N” word. Oddly, since I’m not worrying about being a racist anymore, I am happier.

Someone needs to tell Al, take your silly assed protest that is clearly based in the purest form of racism, and go home. Go back to spouting hate on MSNBC or from your pulpit or your basement or wherever, nobody cares. The damage you’ve done in your lifetime may well take a century to undo.

Al should also be told, Claudine Gay was forced to resign not because of her skin color, but because she broke the rules. Rules all academics are supposed to follow, and she did it willfully and in a racist way because she is black and a woman. She knew she was protected by Academia and society’s terror of being labeled a racist. She used her race and gender as a shield figuring no-one would ever call her out on it.

That is why anyone with a brain wants to see Claudine Gay dismissed not only as President of Harvard, but also from her tenured teaching position, and stripped of her Doctorate. It’s not about skin color, it’s about unfairness and taking advantage of the insidious and unjustified collective guilt, Al Sharpton, and his confederates have spent 50 years instilling in our culture.

Claudine Gay richly deserves cancellation. If the race grifters were smart they’d be leading the charge. Because Claudine Gay has exposed the race and educational system scams and how they work. How much money are indoctrination centers, (otherwise known as colleges,) hemorrhaging now?

It’s obvious that the fucking Reverend Sharpton is looking for a payday from a rich guy. Reverend Sharpton just wants him to purchase an indulgence from the Sharpton Church of Racism. In that “reverend” Sharpton, is not much different from Claudine Gay, they’re Con artists!

Just Shut the fuck up!

Wheee! Here we go!

California has jumped into the fray trying to remove Donald Trump from the ballot.

The Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis has written a letter to the Secretary of State asking that every legal option be explored to remove Donald Trump from the ballot.

Totally expected!

What caught my attention was this;

“The constitution is clear: you must be 40 years old and not be an insurrectionist,” Kounalakis wrote in the letter.

The problem with that statement leapt out at me from my memory of my High School American history class.

The Constitution is indeed very clear.

Article II, Section 1, Clause 5:

No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

It took me less than a minute to pull up the passage. Turns out I was wrong. I thought the minimum age was Thirty Six, not Thirty Five. I throw myself on my readers mercy for being a year off. It’s been 45 years since I was in school. Some data degradation in subjects not commonly used may have occurred.

That being said, I’m also not a politician, lawyer, or Lieutenant Governor of California. It concerns me when someone who is a career politician makes fundamental mistakes that I, with my High School history education from a flyover state, say, What????

I know, I know, people make mistakes. Jamal Bowman made a mistake pulling the fire alarm in the capital. Uh huh, right…

More concerning is that these supposedly well educated, politicians who misquote The Constitution. apparently have never actually read The Constitution or understood what they read.

Far be it for a hayseed redneck like myself to teach them anything. But here’s a hint. Get a real dictionary. You know, one of those big assed unabridged heavy books. Then get yourself a printed copy of The Constitution and the amendments. Not a summary, not a cliff notes version, you’ll need the whole thing.

Now, open the dictionary and look up every single word of The Constitution. Using the dictionary skills you were supposed to have obtained in Elementary School, Junior High School, High School, or College, read the definition for each word, including the older definitions of the word. Then you’ll have a shot at understanding The Constitution.

If your unabridged dictionary has dated definitions, then you can use the definitions that were contemporaneous with common speech at the time The Constitution was written.

The reason it’s important to read The Constitution being mindful of the meanings of the words in their temporal context is easily illustrated thus.

Faggots shall be allowed in small numbers within domiciles and public spaces but shall not be congregated in great numbers near fireplaces, or forges.

That sentence isn’t talking about homosexual men being allowed in homes in small numbers. The sentence is talking about bundles of sticks being stored so as not to be a fire hazard.

A hayseed like me shouldn’t have to tell you educated elites this. But you’ve demonstrated time and again that you apparently missed something in school.

Almost daily, I am thankful for my flyover state education.

Hey you Colorado Folks, you no longer have the burden of voting!

You’re Welcome!!!!

Now you don’t have to read any pesky voter pamphlets. You don’t have to agonize over your vote, or who’s running for whatever office.

You’re free of the burden of responsibility.

From here on out you’ll never risk being like Florida when it comes to counting votes. In fact, the approved candidate will “Win” Colorado within minutes of the polls opening. 

If you’re only allowed to vote for one candidate it greatly simplifies things doesn’t it?

You’re all such “Good Little communists” you’ll be well rewarded.

Colorado… The first American Communist state. Praise Jesus!

“Wait, who are you guys? Why are you taking me? I was extolling the virtues of the party… Oh come on, I’m being arrested for saying Jesus? And I’m white? No you’re wrong, I’m 1/16th black on my mothers side. No! I’m not resisting arrest.. Prison? What for? Won’t someone help me?“

Colorado… Has been added to the states that I will not consider living in. I may visit once more for a wedding, but after that… Nope!

I’m waiting to see what California does… You know California is going to try to outdo Colorado. I don’t know what California will do but I’m sure it’ll be a complete subversion of what the majority of us older folks believe America is / was about. 

Perhaps, California will handle it by simply arresting Donald Trump and his staff when they land for a campaign stop. That would one-up Colorado. Especially if they reactivated Alcatraz. That would show Trump!

At this point I fully expect California will “Forget” to print Republican mail in ballots, but they’ll make sure that Democrat mail in ballots are printed and mailed out at least 6 weeks early.

Not that it matters in California, the Republicans are such a minority here, they couldn’t fill a sports stadium.

In that regard California has already bested Colorado. There’s no real need to count votes here. Pick any liberal money spending scheme, or any democrat candidate. Whatever is the absolute worst for the people, budget, or state and they / it  automatically wins.

The difference between the young morons and us older morons.

Dogs…

Let me tell you a story. I’m out walking my dog on his “retracto” leash and we’re having a really good walk.

Up ahead, I see a human. The human is maybe 1/4 of a mile away, and I can see that the human is facing me due to the reflection of light on its face. I can’t tell at this distance if the human is Male or Female because they’re moving in and out of shadows cast by the trees along the trail.

Suspecting they may have a dog, and wishing to avoid my dog attempting to drag me at top speed toward the human at the very least and the potential dog, I choose another path. The new trail intersects the trail I’m on, at approximately where the human walking toward me, is at this moment.

My dog hasn’t noticed the human at this point, so I count myself lucky and think that we humans will pass well out of reach of each other. Potential dog entanglements will also be avoided.

Jesse and I continue on and he’s having a blast sniffing along the trail that we don’t usually take.

Rounding the last bend, guess what?

The human is still there. Yep they haven’t moved, and goodie! They have a full blooded husky about Jesse’s size and age who is off leash, and slowly approaching from the concealment of a thicket.

So now we have one dog on leash, and one off leash, Jesse wants to go sniff and do all the dog things, but I don’t know this dog. Will the dog be aggressive? Are we trespassing in territory that this dog considered his? How will Jesse react?

Oh and let’s not forget that part of this walking regimen for me is rehabilitation on my knees which have both been troublesome for 2 years. It’s only been in the last year that I’ve been able to really walk any distance without pain.

So I’m trying to hold Jesse back and the other dog is advancing. Jesse has his ears laid back but is still slowly wagging his tail. (Mixed Signals!)

Then things advance, now there is jumping and circling, I’m being dragged over uneven terrain, and trying to keep from becoming entangled in the leash. I hear growling beginning.

At this point the other human moseys on over to regain control of their dog.

“He’s just wanting to play,”

I have fire in my left knee. And I have .8 miles going uphill to get home. Truthfully going uphill is easier than going downhill.

Walking home, Jesse is very sweet he’s not rushing, or dragging me. He knows something is wrong with daddy’s knee.

He’s been checking on me since we got home. I’ve got the ice pack on my knee. I’m using it without the usual fabric cover because I don’t want to put a pair of shorts on. This way my sweat pants are taking the place of the cover. That’s the good news, the bad news is that I have nothing to keep it in place.

I digress…

All of the above brings me to the differences between my generation and this most current crop of “adults”.

We were taught to fucking think!

Let’s evaluate the situation shall we?

Had a Boomer been the Human approaching us on the main trail, they would have continued walking because they’d have accepted, for reasons known only to me, that I was trying to avoid them. They wouldn’t have taken it personally. The assumption would have been that I perhaps know my dog, and my physical condition better than they do, and that would have been fine.

A Boomer upon realizing that my dog was on a leash would have perhaps thought, “Maybe His dog is aggressive, Perhaps his dog isn’t off leash trained.” Either way another Boomer would have put their fucking dog on a leash, you know, the one they were carrying. Just to avoid any potential injury to either dog or humans.

Another Boomer would have thought, “If our dogs try to get to know each other, that guy is going to be fighting to not get tangled up.” And they’d have put their dog on the fucking leash in their hand.

Another Boomer seeing the obvious white beard on my face would have thought, “ You know, that guy looks a tad older, maybe it’s not going to be good for him to be at the heart of dog play or a dog fight.” Another Boomer would have put their dog on the leash as a simple courtesy.

But the other human approaching Jesse & I, was not a “Boomer”.

He was a young adult in his late 20s or early 30s and therefore completely bereft of the ability to think ahead, courtesy, or common sense.

I know youngsters think Courtesy and Common Sense are antiquated notions.

I would instruct all you children thusly.

Courtesy is an outgrowth of conflict avoidance.

If one is courteous then typically there is no conflict. If there is no conflict, then one or more people do not end up with broadswords sticking out of their chests. Barmaids are also happier because getting bloodstains out of rough hewn wooden floors is a real bitch of a job.

Courtesy goes further though.

Courtesy is an acknowledgment that no one can know all the factors at play in any encounter with another person.
Did that person have a fight with their spouse?
Did that person just get out of surgery?
Is that person grieving a loss?
Is the person trying to rebuild strength after an injury?
Does that other person have health insurance?
If they’re injured out in this rural area will paramedics be able to get to them?
What happens in the case of the unexpected?
Is the person prone to heart attacks?

These are just a few of the potential issues.

Being courteous allows you to avoid these and many other possibilities and allows you to absolve yourself of all responsibility for what happens next, to the person your’e being courteous to.

If you’re a young person who wants no responsibility…

Being courteous allows you to turn your back leave with your dog on a leash, and ignore the “Thud” you hear from behind and never look back. After all you were courteous and whatever that noise was… It’s none of your business.

See courtesy can be fun!

Just as an aside, I may have the underpinnings for courtesy all wrong, but thinking of courteous behavior this way has allowed me to implement courtesy in my daily life rather than beat or insult the living shit out of every dumbass I’ve encountered.

It’s kept me from saying things like;

“Does your whole family have the same intelligence level as you? It does? Wow, there’s a family tree that needs to be chopped down!”

“You’re a load your daddy should have jacked down the toilet, oh wait, right… your mother is a cum dump of a toilet!”

“You’re in favor of abortion? So am I… Retroactive Abortion! Here, let me put this plastic bag over your head. Now breathe deep, it will all be over soon! It’s for the planet, there, there, sleep.”

These are just a few of the things that go through my mind dealing with people. Without courtesy, imagine all the sad little snowflakes I’d have traumatized through the years.

Courtesy is a mobile safe space, it’s like a vaccine that protects us all…
