Today in Boulder

IMAG0224

The main family even is taking place today.

It starts in the middle of the day and goes on until I don’t know when.

There isn’t much time to go out and do anything so I think a lunch and a nice walk around part of the CU campus will have to do.

This morning has been laundry and a bit of rest. I’ve been studying some materials that will help me with my various websites.

And now… Off to the main event…

And it was a lot of fun.

Now off to bed and in the morning I get to do some writing, and learn some more about web programming. These are things that I’ve been distracted from for too long.

Boulder Day 1

DSC 1637

Got a very late start today.

After a dinner Thursday night that was long and wonderful but late…

We got to the hotel and just crashed.

This morning we wandered around “Pearl Street” which is an open air shopping center that I recalled from my previous business trips. Pearl Street is a nifty bohemian , then we had a wonderful lunch.

Later in the day we went to Boulder Falls.

It was grey and overcast when I started hiking the trail that lead to the falls. I’d been standing at the falls for about 4 minutes and the sky opened up.

I was soaked to the skin in a matter of minutes.

It’s been raining off & on since then.

We’re talking rolling thunder and flashes of lightening. I’m enjoying hearing the rain pound on the roof of the hotel and I’m seriously glad I’m not out camping tonight.

Hopefully tomorrow I’ll get to a couple of other locations and get some pictures.

Paraprosdokian Of the Week

A Friend sent me a list of these. I thought it would be fun to share them

Paraprosdokians are phrases or sentences that lead us down the garden path to an unexpected ending.

War does not determine who is right – only who is left.
