Maybe AI will be a good thing.

Bear with me!

I was on the phone with some utility… I don’t remember who. Who can? Their phone prompts sounded just like Apple’s, and every other “Helpful Automated Phone system.”  None of which are helpful to me at all.

In that moment while I was grinding my teeth listening to a bunch of choices that I didn’t want, and having the system telling me, “I didn’t understand what you’re asking for, so let’s try again…”

I thought, “I don’t want or need to deal with this frustration in my life,” in addition to the frustration of whatever problem was serious enough for me to call this Servicer Company in the first place.

Yeah, I’m getting right back to acting like a Nebari. Folks this ain’t gonna be pretty. 

“Servicer, here is the account number, I don’t care what your name is, I don’t choose to give you my name, I give the commands – You execute the commands. That is the extent of our relationship.”

I gotta admit there are some fictional races from science fiction that have really stuck with me. The Nebari from FarScape, The Romulans from StarTrek, The Omecs and the Indogenes from Defiance. There are others, Predators and Aliens for example, and still more which are the stuff of nightmares. 

I think the Nebari stick with me most because they simply “KNOW” they’re right. I identify with the kind of arrogance!

Anyway, my point is that I’m not going to willingly talk to automated phone systems anymore. I don’t as a rule use a company’s website for anything except the simplest of things and these days the list of simple things is dwindling as well. It’s gotten to the point that some websites won’t show you your bill without 97 factor authentication.

If I’ve already set up multi-factor authentication, then let’s do it! Stop changing the protocol such that my stored passwords are no longer functional and my stored user ID is locked out.

Does no-one test their software anymore prior to shoving it down a captive population’s throat?

Due to the ever increasing complexity of corporate phone trees, and the ever decreasing return on my investment of time to get something done I’ve started going to the branches of the corporations in question.

I will no longer be a faceless, imaginary, easily ignored, person. Oh they’re going to have to see me, hear me, and if I’ve been working in the yard… smell me!

If they point out that they have phone and web services I’m going to show them my smart phone or watch and loudly explain that I choose to be a physical pain in their asses because satisfaction cannot be had via their corporate phone or web site. 

I want to see them CRY!

As this particular train of thought derailed in my mind, it occurred to me that AI living on the Web might meet its demise not through corrupted use but through lack of use. AI could be the death of the internet, or at least a driving force in humankind choosing to use the internet less.

For years, there have been “news” sites on the internet that read like the old tabloid publications from the grocery checkout lines. Within the last 15 years or so, even so-called “reputable” news sites have become nothing more than replicators of a single story with a paragraph or two of “Original” material serving as an “Analysis” of the original item that is being reposted.

The same thing is happening on the major broadcast news sites too if you think about it.

The only changes there are the talking heads, and a slightly different spin to appear non-homogeneous but the underlying story is exactly the same shit.

That’s why a lot of people are disconnecting their cable feeds and going back to antennas or just the internet.

Why pay for the exact same take on every single news article from 50 news channels when an antenna can pull the same garbage right off the air for free?

I’ve been noticing for years that people “Writing” are actually dictating their articles. I’ve also noticed that they’re not always proofreading their articles. (Yes, I know I’m the kettle calling the pot black. I however am not a trained journalist. I also don’t dictate my pieces, I actually type them. Although sometimes the autocorrect systems “Help” me really fuck up a word I’ve spelled incorrectly.)

Lately I’ve been noticing AI generated output. I’m looking for an example because like an idiot I didn’t save what I was reading when I noticed the Artificial-ness  (I know, the word is “artificiality”, ) of the article. I went with “Artificial-ness so I wouldn’t be called racist for using actual English words correctly. Apparently having a vocabulary these days is in fact a demonstration of white privilege, a micro aggression, and completely racist. So you may notice me giving myself a lobotomy from time to time…

I digress, AI generated articles are interesting and noticeable. I can’t really describe what the tip off is, I can only say you’ll know it when you see it.

The text is just “off”, and the conclusions of the piece are skewed in an odd way. It’s rather like reading something that’s been passed through Google Translate© several times. The construction is prefect but the meaning is ambiguous or lost entirely. 

Admittedly, there are some articles that are very subtly non human. I’ve noticed that I don’t enjoy reading them. In the case of some “scientific” articles the lead is buried completely.

For Example, there’s an archeological site in Turkey that was thought to be a “One Off” religious site not an example of a civilization. The site is called Göbekli Tepe and dates to somewhere between 10 and 12 thousand years and was intentionally buried.

10 to 12 thousand years ago, Humanity was supposed to be loosely aggregated bands of small semi-agricultural hunter gatherer villages, there was no civilization as defined by archeologists. That’s why the site is called a “one off” religious site and Archeologists breathed a sigh of relief that they didn’t have to explain the sophistication of the site as anything other than religious fervor. 

Then a second site called Karahan Tepe, using the same architecture, and also buried intentionally was discovered 10-20 miles away. Then a third site may have been discovered in the same general area, 10-20 miles from the first two sites, which has yet to be excavated but appears to have the same architectural elements.

We’re talking about a heretofore undiscovered civilization that pushes humanity’s civilization period 5000 years back in time. That’s a big deal! Archeologists are having to rethink civilization and how long humans have been capable large scale coordinated building projects and why.

Interestingly, this discovery also reopens the question of age of the Sphinx. The Egyptian authorities have steadfastly maintained that the Sphinx was built by the Egyptian civilization not an older civilization. The weathering on the sphinx enclosure and the sphinx itself indicate that the sphinx is approximately 12000 years old. Egyptian authorities have denied this age because it predates the Egyptian civilization of the Nile by around 6000 years. 

They’ve been able to maintain their denial because there was no evidence of other civilizations from 10-12 thousand years ago.

Until now.

The AI version of this information was “A site has been discovered in Southern Turkey which has a similar age and building style to Göbekli Tepe, a neolithic site of interest.”

The AI version went on to discuss the original site, and that it was thought to be a Temple Complex for an unknown religion.  The article details the original sites discovery date and makes vague reference to the detailed bass reliefs carved into the stones. 

What the AI articled failed to point out was finding a second site and potentially a third site with the same architecture and artwork isn’t what is typically associated with neolithic people. You might get some petroglyphs on cave walls but you don’t typically get freestanding stones with bass relief depictions of local wildlife, fantasy/mythology creatures,  and humans.

AI doesn’t have soul. AI isn’t going to be fascinated by discoveries. While AI might connect the RAW data, as in this case, AI will not recognize the significance. AI will ultimately produce something that is factually correct but lacks excitement. 

I think that a lot of people will stop using AI because of its lack of excitement in discovery. 

How many people do you know that call utility companies to talk to the helpful people personality phone tree?

One can hope that people with brains will be unimpressed with AI and the technology will be relegated to the pile of interesting ideas that didn’t really pan out.

Fingers crossed! Otherwise the internet is going to become really dull, boring, and extremely annoying to use. Sort of like attempting to contact your local utility company.

It’s been a weird busy week.

Not that I’m complaining about it. 

The week has been a weird one. It’s the one year anniversary of Jerry’s death. I was feeling it a little, but nothing unexpected, and in a way, now that I’ve been through a whole year there’s a sense of relief.

Part of it is distance from him having died and part of it is that now that I’ve been through all the holidays and special days I’m somewhat relieved and confident about having survived. Oh sure I was a little melancholy and nostalgic…

I’m still standing.

Monday into Tuesday

I was struck by the memory that on those dates it was the beginning of the end. I’d seen him carried out the door to the hospital unconscious and unresponsive. Most of that memory was fear and intense worry coupled with trying to convince myself that everything was going to be okay.

Just a few days later he was dead.

Wednesday

Nothing much happened, I was cleaning and tossing but the day passed in a bit of a fog

Thursday,

Was the actual date… The day Jerry died. I spent with the dog, quietly. 

Friday

I was at the temple for service and that was nice. It was music Jerry arranged or had a particular fondness for. After the service, one of the congregants said they were still upset and a little angry that Jerry had passed on. They said, “You must still be feeling that way too.” 

“Oddly,” I explained, “I don’t. I still miss him terribly, but we had 34 years together. Most of those years were good ones. The years we had were more than many people get. Divorce, illness, accidents, all cut time spent with someone. That we found each other, loved, and endured for all that time was a gift. Of course I’d like to have more time but I’m thankful for what I got.”

The congregant nodded and said I had a good attitude. I suppose maybe I do.

Saturday 

I had a lot on fun and pretty much spent all day yesterday laughing my ass off. 

A long overdue get together with two men I’ve known for 44 years finally happened. We had a drink, in my case two… we wandered, talked, laughed, and enjoyed being together once again.

This get together should have been called the Fixed Income tour!  It was the first time that all three of us got together after having retired.

We met when we were starting out, I remember those first paychecks, waiting in line to buy gas, and wondering why so much of our puny paychecks was whittled away in taxes. 

What I didn’t know then was that these friends would in fact remain lifelong friends who cared, and for whom I cared, about all these years.

To be honest, a shit ton of people pass through our lives. Some of them you’re happy to see go, others you can’t hold onto, time and life pulls you apart, and the last and best category are friends that are constants like stars in the sky.

(Yes, I know stars aren’t forever… Shut it! Science brain. I’m waxing all poetical… The stars in the sky will outlast us and the planet!)

Yesterday  I managed to walk right past a couple of Pro-Palestein protestors with their flags and stupid slogans and not challenge them. My two friends were hanging back a bit as we passed, whether to help if I lost control and shot my mouth off, or to just laugh if shot my mouth off and started a riot, I’m not sure. Perhaps a bit of both…

When we were going to pass the protestor’s spot again I wished I had a lighter because I wondered if I could legally burn their flags. The question popped out of my head following the logic that you can burn an American flag with impunity so why not a foreign flag?

It appeared that the Palestinian protestors had gone home for the day, protesting and waving flags being such hard work. (Dudes, you didn’t have to go to the gym on arms day!)  I presume they were drowning their sorrows about Gaza with a lovely half caf double latte, a hot meal prepared by someone else, and a bong full of the latest variation of pot they’d procured. Their lives are, after all, soooo difficult. 

I was gratified to note that there were only two Palestinian flags and it didn’t look like a lot of people were paying attention to the protestors. Maybe as Americans tend to do, we’re just getting bored hearing about it. Seen any Ukraine flags lately?

I suggested at one point that perhaps the three of us could go on a stealing spree through all the high end stores at the Glendale Galleria in keeping with the times. There was some question about what exactly the cash limit was before it became a felony. Since all of us are planners and have expensive tastes we couldn’t come to consensus about what we could steal and how much. Next time though…

We’re gonna shock the world as the “Geriatric Three”. At our ages it would be the perfect capper to our lives. Mug Shots in our 60s! I wonder if the police are more afraid of arresting old guys than young guys? The young guys are more like brawlers in a school yard, lots of swinging but not much damage.

Old guys though, well, we’re JUST PLAIN MEAN! Next time I see one of the local sheriffs maybe I’ll ask.

I even noticed I was “Hunting” there were some interesting people at the mall and I wasn’t being too subtle about checking them out. It’s been a year, I could start dating again without it being unseemly. I noticed I was doing something I swore I’d never do, I was being a little chicken-hawkish. Some of the guys I was noticing were so young, mid 30s to early 40s. My god! They could easily be my kid!

They were safe… The only way I could’ve caught them was if I was riding on one of those mobility scooters you see old folks riding in the park. The eye candy was nice. I knew some of them were pretty to look at but wholly incompatible with me or any of my beliefs. Perhaps it’s just as well that time and age is slowing me down a bit.

The way my knee was acting up toward the end of the day, I’m probably going to be in the market for a good cane soon. When I got home last night I think the health app said I’d walked 7 miles yesterday. I know I’d walked 1.5 miles with the dog in the early morning before heading to Glendale but was surprised that the total had ended up so high.

My knee didn’t start really acting up until later in the day. I’d tweaked it again on Wednesday or Thursday and had to ice it.

All told yesterday, aside from being slow to start working after we’d been sitting for a while, it wasn’t too bad,  It’s probably a sign that I should increase my walking distance and start stretching a bit more to continue rebuilding strength in both knees. 

One of my friends described being at a Mall as something approximating Hell in his estimation. After seeing Duck-lipped women, men with painted fingernails wearing too short, “skinny jeans” as fashion statements, and too many languages to count he might have a point. 

I’m reminded that I’ve been fairly isolated, preferring to stick close to home. Some would say it’s a holdover from the COVID lockdowns, in truth, it started prior to COVID. I’d been living in San Diego and in close contact due to apartment dwelling, and I’d become super tired of people in general.

The point is, that because I’ve not been around a lot of folks I’m even more uncomfortable in crowds these days. Not that I’m a germaphobe but I’m mindful that my immune system hasn’t needed to be as active in recent years as it had in the past. Without being exposed to the filth of humanity daily, your immune system starts eating Bon Bons and doing its nails.

So I might end up with some stupid late winter cold, but being out in the world with my friends was totally worth it.

The next time we get together perhaps it should be here. We could cook out on the grill, listen to music, and laugh watching the sun track across the mountains, while listening to the sound of light breezes in the trees. Bonus, the dog would be happy with new people to annoy!

The dog is currently pissed at me. He was alone two consecutive nights and missed our ball time. Thankfully the temps have been very moderate but both nights the wind picked up before I got home. He hates the wind!  So last night he pointed the stinky end at me and slept at the foot of the bed.

I’m going to have to make it up to him. 

But that will have to wait until tomorrow. 

Today, Sunday, I’m going to lunch with one of Jerry’s friends and then I’m looking forward to resting a bit on Monday.

Then it’s back to sorting and tossing the accumulated crap. I’m still shooting for having the house on the market in spring. If something happens between now and then to change that desire, it will still be okay because I wont’ have a bunch of crap.

I hope everyone is in as good a space as I am. Uh OH, the Dog is looking for me. It’s time for me to get dressed and take him for a walk.

I have to correct Representative Nancy Mace

She said in a hearing to Hunter Biden, “You have no Balls”

Well Congressperson, I think the entire world knows Hunter Biden has balls. WE’VE ALL SEEN THEM ON VIDEO! Apparently they’re also functional since we know he’s got at least one bastard child and who knows how many others.

Even in the metaphorical sense he’s got big brass balls. To walk into a hearing garner a lot of attention, then leave in a huff when representatives debating holding him in contempt of Congress start asking questions.

Damn! Those are some brass balls!

Or as is more likely the case, Hunter was higher than shit, or as a friend of mine once said, (Giraffe Pussy) and feels, or knows, that Congress can’t or won’t touch him because of his Daddy.

Hunter’s not going to answer questions from Congress.

I also, and I really hope I’m wrong about this, wouldn’t put it past the “powers that be” to “Suicide” Hunter. Or have him tragically OD on something laced with Fentanyl. That would give Joe a reason to step out of the race due to family issues, and the Democrats a talking point wherein they can select a candidate who will take a “hard” stand against the drug trafficking to honor Hunter and the Biden’s tragic loss. There’s a large portion of America that would buy a democrat campaign promise to get rid of drugs after martyring Hunter, hook, line, and sinker. They’re the same people that wouldn’t ask for accountability later when nothing changed.

You know what is sickest about the scenario above? That I even thought about it. That I even considered with any seriousness that powers within our government would do such a thing. I believe that our government is that corrupt, and they’d stop at nothing. There is no law they wouldn’t break and no depravity too low for the current Washington Democratic Party to engage in.

The same is probably true of the Republican Party which is why in 2016 against all odds, Donald Trump was elected President. The People wanted the corruption to come to an end and Donald Trump promised he’d end it. He broke that promise.

The really sad thing is that Hunter has “The Look” when he’s all cleaned up and during his younger years, he could have been a “do nothing senator” like his father. Hell he could have been President. The Biden Dynasty could have been a thing. In some regards the fact that he veered off course so profoundly may have saved the tax payers a shit ton of money. 

Imagine what could have happened with multiple Biden’s in high public office for decades, each engaging in various degrees of corruption. WOW!!! I suppose we can thank providence that Joe was too greedy a parasite for that to happen.

Al Sharpton is still a thing?

I thought that crazy, racist, old, tax evader  had been roasting his nuts in Hell for a few years now.

Obviously I was mistaken since he was leading a protest against a rich guy supposedly to support Claudine Gay’s racism claims.

Old Al must be running out of money. I’m sure he’s already sent a “Deal” a.k.a. Blackmail demand to Bill Ackman.

It probably reads something like, “Give me a check for a 5 million dollars and then you say you’re sorry about being a racist on my TV show and this protest will go away. I’ll make sure the money gets into the right hands.”

Isn’t that the way black leaders do things?

The money is never used to do any good for the black community, it always ends up in the pockets of the black leaders.

BLM? Paging BLM? How many houses did the BLM leadership buy? Jesse Jackson? Paging Jesse Jackson? How much money in “Donations” have you accepted? How much has been invested in the black community? Louis Farrakhan? Paging Louis Farrakhan how much antisemitic, anti-white vitriol have you spewed over the years? How much money have you raised and invested in the black community? Raised? A Lot. Invested? Not so much.

And Finally Al Sharpton. The racist, hateful, track suit wearing, tax evading, spotlight stealing, Democrat dick sucking, ass licking, fomenter of conflict, example of Napoleon syndrome… 

(Can you tell I have a dim view of black leaders, especially Al Sharpton? Good, I knew you could.)

I’d love to speak directly to Al Sharpton and say;

“Run Al, RUN! Satan is demanding his due. I generally pray that the Angel of Death is gentle and kind when he comes to collect. In your case I might make an exception.“

Throughout my entire life, Al Sharpton has been at the center of every single race related conflict. This man has spewed more hatred and stirred up more violence and cruelty than almost anyone I can think of. 

He always says it’s about ending racism, but it’s always worked out to be the opposite. 

I simply can’t understand why this fucking piece of shit is still a thing. He’s supposed to be a “reverend”, why hasn’t he returned to the church and gotten himself right with God?

His message these days sure as hell isn’t the gospel. At minimum his message is Hatred of Trump. But his overarching message is one of hatred of all white people and making them pay again and again for shit that 99% of white people don’t and didn’t do.

Believe me… If white people were expending as much energy on racism as Sharpton et al claim. There wouldn’t be any black people in America because they’d have been hunted to extinction.

At one time the black community claimed that young black men turned to crime because they were treated like criminals all the time by society. I don’t know how true this is or if it was simply a way to excuse the out of control criminal activity in black communities and force changes in sentencing laws because the majority of prison populations were black men.

Nonetheless, I can’t help but wonder. If all white people are racists, if there is no redemption, if white people are being called white supremacists and racists all the time, doesn’t the same rule apply? If society is going to treat white people like racists, doesn’t it follow that with people will be racists?

See, I believe humans, all humans, react the same way to certain stimuli. If young black men were made to be criminals by the way they were treated, then logically Al Sharpton, and the other black leaders are creating racists and white supremacists with their rhetoric and painting all white people with the same brush. 

For me… After a lifetime of getting up and saying, “I will not be an asshole today, I will not be a racist today,” now I get up and say, “I will not be an asshole today.” Whether I’m a racist by intention or accident, it doesn’t matter, with no redemption, and the assumption I’m a racist, why try? Black now has the same meaning in my head as the censored “N” word. Oddly, since I’m not worrying about being a racist anymore, I am happier.

Someone needs to tell Al, take your silly assed protest that is clearly based in the purest form of racism, and go home. Go back to spouting hate on MSNBC or from your pulpit or your basement or wherever, nobody cares. The damage you’ve done in your lifetime may well take a century to undo.

Al should also be told, Claudine Gay was forced to resign not because of her skin color, but because she broke the rules. Rules all academics are supposed to follow, and she did it willfully and in a racist way because she is black and a woman. She knew she was protected by Academia and society’s terror of being labeled a racist. She used her race and gender as a shield figuring no-one would ever call her out on it.

That is why anyone with a brain wants to see Claudine Gay dismissed not only as President of Harvard, but also from her tenured teaching position, and stripped of her Doctorate. It’s not about skin color, it’s about unfairness and taking advantage of the insidious and unjustified collective guilt, Al Sharpton, and his confederates have spent 50 years instilling in our culture.

Claudine Gay richly deserves cancellation. If the race grifters were smart they’d be leading the charge. Because Claudine Gay has exposed the race and educational system scams and how they work. How much money are indoctrination centers, (otherwise known as colleges,) hemorrhaging now?

It’s obvious that the fucking Reverend Sharpton is looking for a payday from a rich guy. Reverend Sharpton just wants him to purchase an indulgence from the Sharpton Church of Racism. In that “reverend” Sharpton, is not much different from Claudine Gay, they’re Con artists!

Do us all a favor Al…

Just Shut the fuck up!

I know it’s wrong but I’m laughing my ass off at NYC and Chicago over the migrant issue

Generally speaking, I’m in favor of sending all the migrants right the fuck back across the Mexican border. I don’t care where they originally came from, how they got to South or Central America or what happens to them after they’re back across the border.

I know that sounds mean, cruel, selfish, or whatever. They can all wait in line, presumably like their other countrymen who are trying to immigrate to the US legally.

This is particularly true for the men who are able bodied and military aged. I’m sorry, they’re a threat to our nation even if they’re not acting on behalf of some foreign government. It’s a plain simple fact. These men are far more likely to be involved in crime, either theft or assault out of frustration that they’re woefully unprepared for the reality of life in the United States.

Most people in America don’t speak anything except English, (Londoners, would say we don’t even speak that.) So if someone comes here from another country and cannot speak the language they’re not going to get very far. Spanish is more common so Central and Latin Americans will have a leg up. But African languages? Asian Languages and dialects?  Uh, not so much. 

No Dingwalla there is not gold on the streets, nor is everything “free” despite democrats best efforts, and oh right, generally speaking we take a dim view of rape and rapists even if that is culturally appropriate in your country.

You left your country remember? Apparently you weren’t doing any better getting work or laid there, than you are here. Perhaps the fault is not where you are so much as who you are.

Besides you fuckers always go for the really nice pretty girls, you never go for the self mutilated ugly harridans. (Just an observation.)

Maybe it’s time for someone to start telling the truth to other countries. We don’t want you, the people before you have drained America like malaria or cholera does.

America is in the last stages of shitting itself to death. Look at our leadership, are these people examples of a healthy country? Yeah, best that you stay home and try to make your country better.

Believe me, you probably don’t want to be here for what comes next. Hitler blamed all the ills of Germany on the Jews, Gypsies, and the gays. His solution was to send them to death camps.

Just thinking out loud here, what happens if America has a leader that rises and blames all the country’s ills on the 12 millions or so illegal immigrants the Biden administration has allowed in?

The Biden Administration has already been floating the idea that blame for our country’s problems falls on MAGA Americans and white supremacy. Biden is trying to blame 1/2 of the country for his administration’s failures. Think about what that might portend.

The American people are pissed off at a whole lot of things right now. Believe me, Dingwalla you do not want to be here if / when this shit blows up. Hell I’m concerned about what happens when this shit blows up and I’m a redneck American.

You really don’t want to be here if someone declares “open season” on “enemies of the state”.  The problem with “Enemies of the State” is the term is completely subjective. Believe me an “open season” situation could easily make “The Purge” look like a comedy. (Admittedly I’ve wondered what I would do if suddenly there was no reason for me not to cross a few people off my enemy list. Would I take the moral high ground and walk away, or would I do a little purging of my own? I hope to never find out.)

As an aside, no country will let me immigrate claiming asylum because I’m an American. I still haven’t figured out how THAT works. Why can the fucking world immigrate to the USA or the EU with little to no training or education but I, as an American am denied that ability? It just doesn’t seem fair.

To all immigrants: For your own safety, go home, or stay home. Make your part of the world a paradise.

By the way, when you’re making your country better, you might want to make sure that you have really strict border security and immigration laws. Otherwise the surviving parasites from the western countries will invade your homes and destroy them as has been done with western countries.

Just a thought.

The above is pretty much what I’m thinking when I see the insanity of the border.

Then when I hear Eric Adams and the idiot Chicago Mayor talking about their cities inability to continue accepting the influx of migrants, All I can do after blowing coffee out my nose, is laugh and say, “What the Fuck?”

These morons haven’t been accepting migrants for three solid years like some of the small border towns in Texas and Arizona. Some of the smaller border towns are literally overrun with migrants to the point that the little towns will never recover. Really, how on earth can these mayors be whining and complaining when border towns with populations of 500 are dealing with 1500 migrants coming in per day?

These states and cities were fine calling Texans and Arizonans RACIST. When Texas and Arizona ranchers were bitching about their fences being cut, or migrants stealing shit out of their barns, or breaking into their homes. When these actual Americans who owned land, paid taxes, and raised food were effectively under siege, New York, Boston, Chicago, and Martha’s Vineyard, were telling them to, “Shut up. Stop being mean, It’s not that bad, You’re just racists.”

The trails used by the migrants remind me a lot of the devastation seen after locust swarms pass. The trash alone requires special handling and it’s literally measured in TONS. All of which has to be removed before a pasture can be opened again to cows or sheep. Who pays for that? Oh Right… The rancher.

So the rancher pays their taxes, Property, Business, State (if applicable), and then gets to PAY again for the cleanup and repairs to their property with no recourse to our out of control federal government, who has utterly failed to “Secure the Border”, which is one of the primary things the federal government is supposed to do. 

But we’re sending another bazillion dollars to Ukraine or an aid package to Gaza while demanding that Israel, (our ally,) stand down so Hamas can steal the aid package, regroup and fuck Israel again.

We need to shut the hell up, let Israel destroy Hamas and however much of Gaza is necessary to end Hamas once and for all. There is a penalty, sometimes a terrible one, for shitty governance and assholes who poke a bear. Hamas poked the bear, now they die. Too Bad, So Sad,

Ukraine is another post entirely… Where has the money we’ve already sent gone? Why is there no accountability? I don’t have the time or enough blood pressure medication to get into that one. 

Here’s an idea, how about that Gaza. a.k.a. Hamas aid package get redirected to our fucking southern border? How about the federal government use our tax dollars to, I don’t know, clean up the mess they’ve made at the border and help the American ranchers bring their ranches back to operational? The federal government should be held financially accountable for the damages their illegal immigration policy has caused to private properties along the border.

I think that the money to pay federal restitution should come from the operational budget of Homeland security and Mayorkas’s office. Not another taxpayer funded boondoggle.

I mean money from the budget that keeps butts in chairs and coffee in the DHS break room. When Homeland Security and Alejandro Mayorkas have to start laying people off because they’re literally paying the price for their incompetence maybe then it will make an impression.

I’d like to see Mayorkas’s pension and salary decremented by the amount of restitution paid to the ranchers and homeowners. I’d also like to see Biden’s paycheck and government pensions decremented.

I think if bad decisions had serious financial consequences to politicians there’d be less bad decisions. I’m not talking about a one time screwup, those happen. Doubling down on clearly bad decisions such as  the border,  shutting down domestic oil production, demonizing coal etc. is choosing to make the same mistake repeatedly.

Maybe Biden and Mayorkas would rethink their mistakes if they had to sell one of their beach houses.

Clearly the financial incentive works. Now that New York and Chicago are having to PAY for the flood of migrants, suddenly it’s a crisis.

Surprisingly these high minded “Sanctuary” Cities and States change their tune fast when the problem is in their back yard, costing them money. Ever hear of NIMBY assholes? Well, you’re prefect examples right now.

NIMBY= Not In My Back Yard. This sentiment often applies to Power Plants (nuclear and otherwise), Public transportation (Trains, Elevated Trains), Prisons, Low Income Housing, high-rises, mines, and immigration camps.  

People practicing NIMBY are often progressive liberals who say these things are absolutely necessary and should be tolerated as long as these things, are not visible to the progressive liberals from within their walled, gated, subdivisions.

When these necessities get too close, are, or will be, visible to the progressives, suddenly they’re opposed to construction. Usually for the same variety of reasons, non progressives or poor neighborhoods cited and were castigated for. Examples: Pollution, Hazardous materials near schools and daycare, Destruction of poor neighborhoods, etc. 

This leads to people like myself having a bit of schadenfreude when I hear progressives screaming about things they were content to see visited upon others.

In the current situation with New York and Chicago, my schadenfreude is on overload and about to blow the breakers.

To New York and Chicago, San Francisco, and in fact any other progressive liberal stronghold, you’re getting what’s coming to you.

So, “Shut up. Stop being mean, It’s not that bad, You’re just racists.”

Yeah we’re all equally fucked but I’m tired of you calling me names when I point out obvious truths.
