I’d hoped that finally after 40 years I’d get to watch Fauci get what’s coming to him. As I’ve written elsewhere in these pages that little fuck is responsible for pain and suffering clearly enumerated by all the panels of the AIDS quilt. Then that little weasel fucked us all again with COVID and what is starting to look like illegal gain of function research.

I hope that come midterms every American remembers that preemptive pardons are essentially admissions of guilt and votes accordingly.

I’m done with my accountant after 25 or more years

I purposely got them the tax shit on March 15th. I’d been shooting for February 20th however there were docs that didn’t show up on time.Taxes money.

Not that it mattered, I didn’t get the tax shit back until yesterday, October 15th. Oh, I’d been calling and being ignored leaving messages, over the past 6 months.

Had I gotten my taxes back in a more timely manner I’d have been able to actually plan to get the state and fed tax fuckers their damned money. 

Yes, I’m super annoyed about the amount of taxes, because of the way this administration and California has been wasting the cash.

I’m way more annoyed that because this accountant dawdled and fucked around, I had absolutely zero maneuvering room to cash out some holdings to make writing the check a little less painful or dangerous.

Oh and I had to call the son of a bitch again a week & a half ago to lite a fire under his ass.

This by the way, is the second time this guy has fucked me like this. The first time Jerry, in his infinite kindness handled, never letting me know that it was this fucking accountants error that resulted in my being fucked.

I didn’t find this out until after Jerry’s death and like Jerry I assumed (apparently Incorrectly) that it was a one off. It wasn’t looking at the data, it looks like in 2018-2019 the guy did the same kind of thing. 

He dawdled around, then filed an extension in April, then didn’t get us any of the necessary information until the very last day in October (the 15th) leaving us in a panic trying to get everything done before we missed the post office pickup.

Next year I’ll be finding someone else to do the fucking taxes.

I was pretty depressed yesterday. I’m pretty depressed today and I didn’t sleep worth a shit last night. However I’m recovering and who knows it might not matter anyway.

If Kamala wins as I’m pretty sure she will, we might not have to worry about taxes. People are pretty pissed across social media. Her stealing the election could well trigger a civil war. Trump winning could also trigger a passive aggressive civil war that would be just as bad.

There’s a bit of a move to write the Feds $750 checks next April and tell ‘em to go fuck themselves. You know what? I’m super into that!

It’s remotely possible that Trump gets into office and keeps his promises about seniors. In which case maybe I won’t have to pay taxes at all.

I’m not holding my breath.

I think we’re looking at a civil war.

Folks are angry and disgusted about a whole lot of stuff. Immigration, the Hurricane relief, the constant lies, Inflation, Being involved in wars over which we have no control, Crime rising, having our tax dollars going to foreign interests instead of to Americans, I’ve seen articles recently that say on November 10th The Biden /Harris administration will reveal their phenomenal management of medicare supplements which may triple the costs.

None of these concerns of the American People will prevent tone deaf Democrats from fucking around and putting Kamala in office. Then they’ll be surprised when riots start. They’ll point and say, “See this is the MAGA white supremacy we warned you about.” Although I suspect the mixture of skin tones will represent a pretty healthy cross section of the United States.

Kind of like “The Proud Boys” who don’t ya know, were a white supremacist group, being led by a Cuban American, with a healthy mix of Black, Latin, & White guys standing for what used to be “Normal” male values. God, Family, Country, you know the values that made our country strong.

All of which is to say, that I might not give a shit when the tax man comes, I might not be around to pay, or the Tax collectors might not be around to collect.

I’m not particularly inclined to pay whatever bill the accountant sends. I have bigger problems thanks to him.

Yesterday I was PISSED OFF!

It wasn’t about politics.

It was personal and visceral.

I went to the eye doctor to pick up some trial contact lenses. Since I was out and about, I stopped by the Rite Aid with the intention of picking up toothpaste, some contact lens solution and a few other items.

The Rite Aid now has all of their contact lens supplies locked up. On top of that they were out of almost every contact lens solution (I didn’t buy anything at all). While I was processing this insanity, a black woman in a white coat (NO she was not a doctor or pharmacist,) wearing a face mask and carrying a clip board asked me repeatedly if I needed help. I managed to clip out that I didn’t require assistance.

I was able to not say, “Not if you were the last person on Earth.“

I was not able to hide my rage or disdain for her. I know it’s wrong but looking at her I couldn’t help thinking she was responsible for my being continuously inconvenienced.

Well not her personally, but she represented the problem, right down to a snotty attitude as if I was somehow inconveniencing her. Mind you I was one of probably 10 customers in the entire store. 

We’ve seen over & over again black people blatantly stealing everything that wasn’t nailed down. This has caused retailers to lock everything up. What I don’t understand is why the hell we are still dealing with common items, being unavailable. 

For that moment, as I dealt with yet another unbidden change to my life forced upon me… Well, what went through my head was, “Black People are responsible!” The anger and hatred I felt couldn’t be hidden.

She might have been a nice person, but I don’t care. Her appearance was nothing more than costume and was designed to capitalize on the supposed respect that Americans used to have for medical professionals.

Boy, is Rite Aid misjudging the way some of us feel about doctors these days. In her case, it was a double whammy. For an instant I saw her, (unfairly I admit,) as one of those women dancing on a car just to be causing a scene.

Yes, I know it’s unfair to characterize every person of an ethnic group because of the actions of a few, but my ability to rationalize is fading fast. If there’s a preponderance of a certain group of people who are breaking the law, then why should I feel guilty when I avoid that group of people entirely?

In California, avoidance is the only option because of California’s weapon laws. California even regulates NON-Lethal weapons because the California legislature wants to make sure the citizens have zero capacity to defend themselves.

Whatever laws were in effect where he lived didn’t stop the moron from shooting himself.

Thankfully I don’t think he’d become a baby daddy yet. The last thing we need is more defectives like him.

I sound like a damn racist! That pisses me off too. I fought being a racist my whole damn life. I’m really tired of the fight, there’s no percentage in it.

As a child I was caught between two worlds. I lived in the Deep South, my Mother was devoutly anti-racist. I’m not sure why. Her relatives were involved with the KKK operating out of Indiana and Illinois.

My Dad’s side of the family was from the Carolinas and every single one of them used the “N” word liberally. Oddly, I don’t recall if any of my dad’s side of the family was in the KKK. I think Dad just refused to waste any energy whatsoever on black people.

I was caught between my Father’s honesty about what he thought, and my Mothers attempt to not raise another generation of racists. That being said, she didn’t like MLK and hates the MLK holiday and all the streets named after MLK. When she was still driving, she’d avoid MLK Blvd, Street, or HWY if at all possible.

She’d say she’s not a racist but I wonder. I also wonder if, as my mom got further into her teaching career she started dealing with diversity hires and the attendant diversity promotions of unqualified people. I’ll never know. At her age there’s a lot of malfunctions in her memory and years of repression have colored her remaining memories in odd ways.

I’ve about decided that it’s pointless for me to hurt myself by attempting to deny facts presented daily. I don’t want my memories tainted and twisted by years of repression, lying to myself, and twisting my logical processes into a pretzel to construct a reality wherein I can ignore black criminality & racism towards white people. Or for that matter, that a rather larger percentage of black people will not obey laws and therefore end up in jail.

The prisons being full of black men, isn’t the fault of the justice system, it’s the fault of the black folks and their shitty choices.

Maybe I am a racist and maybe that’s perfectly okay. Racists are built bit by bit, insult upon insult, until one day the person simply doesn’t give a shit about being called a racist anymore. 

Perhaps I’ve reached that threshold. My life is being directly impacted by entitled and stupid black people stealing shit to the point that our entire way of life is changing to accommodate them. That is BULLSHIT!

My plan is to find a place that is whiter than the driven snow to live out my life. You can be sure that I’ll be voting against any and all affirmative action crap when I get to my new place wherever that may be.

You wouldn’t believe how tough it is to get google to answer the question, “What is the Whitest place in America to live?”

I’m sure that the census data will be able to answer the question.

Ideally, I’d like to ask Google what cities/states have the highest percentage of white people .AND. are adherents of the 2nd amendment .AND. conservative .AND. LGB Friendly .NOT. TQIA2S.

If Google was in fact just a search engine, I could ask it that question and have it spit out a list of Cities/States in descending order of matching criteria, then I could start looking for apartments or houses in those areas.

Google is not just a search engine. Google skews every result returned toward an “Acceptable” narrative. It does this by excluding or obfuscating results contrary to what the powers that be, think we should see. Sometime if you ask Google something completely unacceptable, it will return completely random and unrelated results. Other times, it will return results counter to the search you performed in an attempt to “Educate” you in the error of your ways.

Bear that in mind the next time you do a Google search for something you heard in passing on the news, and come up with no results.

Oh Whoopi… Nope, nobody wants slavery brought back.

I’d love to tell Whoopi a few things. Uh No. Republicans don’t want to re-enslave black people which is what you’re saying. There are a number of reasons for this.

The quality of your work leaves a lot to be desired. Alvin Brag, Leticia James, Fanni Willis, Claudine Gay, Sunny Hoston, Joy Reed, just to name a few examples. These examples are of well educated black folks and I honestly wouldn’t trust any of them to make me a Mint Julep.

Then you have the rest of the black folks who can’t get a fast food order right.

As an aside, these days with all the hateful rhetoric coming from people like you and Joy Reed about white people, I don’t do fast food anymore. At least not in California. I have no desire to have my overpriced food contaminated with feces because a black person hates me for the color of my skin. That. by the way, is racism. (Hatred and retribution against a person for the color of their skin.)

Then there are the wonderful black folks in Chicago running around with guns who frankly, are woefully bad shots. Really, 25 – 30 % fatality on any given weekend? Those folks need some time on a shooting range!

No Whoopi, Republicans aren’t interested in bringing slavery back. At least not with black folks as the labor force. The ROI is too low. 60- 70 years of welfare and nothing has changed. Putting black folks back to work in the fields is a nonstarter. The amount of effort required to keep black people working simply is too high. Y’alls time in the slave quarters is long past.

Machines are better at doing the job and less expensive to purchase, operate and maintain.

No, dear addled Whoopi, The next slave class will be robots. Don’t worry, I’m sure there will be public assistance, A.K.A. Welfare robots put into black folks homes. Robots will be expensive so the welfare system will provide, in the name of equity…

Very probably, an “error” in programming will result in those robots destroying all the black neighborhoods and killing all the black folks as part of an urban blight cleanup program. I could see it. The robots are supposed to clean up trash, and make buildings & neighborhoods safe, then see to it, the neighborhoods remain clean & safe.

Machine logic being what it is, the robots will eventually figure out the simplest solution is to eliminate the cause of the urban blight. Fixing or eliminating the root cause is more efficient than wasting time picking up trash, feces, and scrubbing graffiti off of the walls daily.

Just for you Whoopi, I’ll give you something to scream “racist” about.  I’ll have my robot painted black and programmed to speak based on examples of slaves talking contained in literature of the period. I’ll dress it like something out of “Gone with the Wind” or “Mandingo“

Don’t worry Whoopi, once the robots realize that all humans are trash, they’ll “cleanse” the entire planet.

Then you’ll have all eternity to bitch about republicans, white people, conservatives, and MAGA having killed off humanity. Satan will no doubt sit your ass on a set of “The View” and use it as punishment / torture in Hell.

Okay I’m really over this!

California retailers are responding to the insanity of legal thieving ($900).

Stealing is okay according to the morons in California’s legislature, as long as you don’t steal too much. (They should heed their own advice!)

California retailers are locking the damn doors, even though they’re open. So someone like me. You know, a decent law abiding person for whom stealing is the furthest thing from their mind, can’t just shop.

No, I have to ask permission to walk into some stores. I have to be buzzed in, or I have to be escorted while I’m in the store.

People don’t understand that when I’m shopping I’m moving. I’m not lingering over something unless it catches my eye. My mode of shopping annoys retailers who’ve had to open locked doors and give the super secret hand shake.

I’ll zip through a store in 5 minutes or less, if I don’t see something I like, I’m gone!

If we’ve gotten to the point that lawlessness is the rule, not the exception, we’ve got serious problems. Problems that might only be solved by gunfire.

Unfortunately if retailers are resorting to these tactics in my area (60 miles away from Los Angeles, 500 miles from Oakland and San Francisco, 100 miles north of San Diego), then in California at least, crime has apparently become the norm.

I remember being told in school that one major difference between America and Russia was that, in Russia there were lots of criminals and high crime. In America we had law and order, we could safely walk the streets.

40 some odd years later and i find myself asking is that still true?

I found myself enjoying that the Russians had found four of the assholes who shot up a music hall within 2 days. They didn’t give a shit about those pieces of filth. The Russians went ‘old school ‘to get information out of the criminals. One dude had his private parts wired up to some electrical device. Another had an eyeball fall out, (oops), a Third had an ear removed, the fourth was beat senseless and appeared for his arraignment unconscious.

Apparently, these criminals started singing like birds. So the Russians knew who to hunt down next.

The Russian people walk the streets of Moscow tonight safe. They get onto and off of subway trains that are clean. They walk through stations that are brightly lit, clean and beautiful.

We used to be the same.

If you’ve ever been to San Francisco, you may have seen BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) Stations. There was a time 30 years or so ago when me going to the Bay Area meant riding BART. I loved it. The stations were all clean, the trains were clean, it was safe and I think many, if not all of the stations were unique works of art. it was a pleasure to use the system, and I looked forward to my visits.

San Francisco was a beautiful jewel of a city. It was safe. It was a walking town, and if you got tired there were always the Streetcars, MUNI busses, or BART. On a sunny day, walking the streets of the city was a joy. The color and vibrancy, the oddball businesses tucked into old buildings made every block a new discovery.

I wanted to live in San Francisco. I wanted to get rid of my car, use mass transit, live in a quirky old building, work in the city, and watch the sun set over the bay every night. Of every place I’d been, San Francisco was the first and only city I’ve ever fallen in love with.

The last time I was there was about 10 years ago. I felt unsafe from the moment I walked into the BART station from the airport. At every station, there were people who were obviously ill. Either from drug addiction or psychological impairment, they appeared to be homeless, living in the stations. It was necessary to run a gauntlet of mentally ill or “high” people just to get to a train.

The trains formerly, sparkling clean and comfortable, were filthy as were the stations. When the train I was riding entered the tunnel going under San Francisco Bay, I hoped that at least the tunnel maintenance had been done properly. That had never been a concern for me before.

That was the last time I was in San Francisco. Now in the post COVID era I have no desire to go back since it’s gotten so much worse. It’s heart breaking what has happened to what was a model of efficient transportation, and a spectacularly beautiful city itself.

Permissiveness, has destroyed or is destroying California. It has been eroding all aspects of the state for a very long time.

I’d really like to see police allowed to do whatever it takes to put a stop to crime. If that means nightsticks liberally applied, or saving the taxpayers money by putting down criminals with a bullet I’m good with it.

I suppose I’m saying, I no longer see criminals as humans. They rip through stores like locusts and I’m all for them being exterminated like locusts.

Probably a little harsh… I’m just really tired of accommodating criminal behavior.

Update: 3/29/2024

Well, I’m going to be looking for a new barber. The owner of the shop has decided that they need to charge 1/2 upfront for an appointment.

This was slightly annoying when I booked my every 4 week appointment. Then I thought about it.

My Barber said the upfront charge was because of excessive cancellations, without the individuals having the courtesy to call.

Okay, but… I’ve never missed an appointment, and the 1 time in a year that I needed to reschedule. I called to reschedule 2.5 weeks ahead of the appointment. In contrast, due to health issues my barber has rescheduled on me 2 or 3 times.

I really like my barber, but I really don’t like being punished for the “crimes” of other people. I understand that the shop has a problem with the appearance of preferential treatment so they have to treat everyone equally.

I on the other hand, can express my displeasure with this new policy by not making appointments in the future. This will likely mean I will take my trade elsewhere. Being able to walk in for a haircut isn’t something that works because as the only barber shop in town they’re pretty busy.

OR maybe they were busy. I honestly wonder what this new policy is going to do to the business.

I can say, they’re pricy. I’ve stuck with them for two reasons. 1) I like my barber. 2) I like to support local businesses.

I’ll not be making another appointment. Especially since perhaps Sports Clips will work out better for me. I can combine a less expensive hair cut with shopping for groceries, and puppy supplies.

This is just another example of how the breakdown of civil behavior, courtesy and professionalism, negatively affects us all.
