OH! For Gods Sake! Again with this?

Saturday at a commencement speech Our Chief Moron in charge once again outright lied!

Either that or he’s demonstrating that he’s not fit to hold office again.

During his speech he again referenced the Jan 6th riot as an insurrection. He said;

“A mob of insurrectionists stormed the Capitol, the very citadel of democracy. Imagine what you’d be thinking today if you had heard this morning before you got here that a group of a thousand people broke down the doors of the parliament of Great Britain, killed two police officers, smashed and ransacked the office of members of the British Parliament or any other, what would you think? What would you think?”

He said something similar back on March 3;

“Again, we’re not perfect — we’re not even close — but we never have walked away. And Vladimir Putin was counting on being able to split up the United States.

Look, how would you feel if you saw crowds storm and break down the doors of the British Parliament, kill five cops, injure 145 — or the German Bundestag, or the Italian Parliament? I think you’d wonder.

Well, that’s what the rest of the world saw. It’s not who we are. And now, we’re proving, under pressure, that we are not that country. We’re united.”

The problem is, no officers were killed during the riot. One U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick died the next day from a Stroke in his brainstem.

Several other officers committed suicide in the following weeks.

The people who died that day were Ashli Babbitt, there are reports of another woman being killed that day but some reports say she died in the vicinity of the Capitol riot due to a drug overdose and others say she was beaten to death.

The only confirmed death that day due to the Capitol riot was Babbitt’s and she was shot by a Capitol Police officer.

Can we just get him to stop spreading misinformation?

Oh and of course we had to hear about Beau dying of brain cancer again.

Yes Joe, we all know Beau died of brain cancer. You’ve repeated yourself on the matter again and again.

Biden said this according to Delaware Online;

“Biden recalled how after his son Beau died from brain cancer in 2015, he had no interest in running for president in 2016. He said the following year, when white supremacists marched through Charlottesville, Virginia, with torches, uttering Nazi phrases from decades earlier, he decided he needed to do something.”

Really? Does Biden or his handlers really expect anyone in America to swallow this line of horse shit?

He didn’t run in 2016 because Hillary was supposed to win. His handlers probably knew that against Trump and the mood of the country then he’d loose and split the Democratic ticket in the process.

America was tired of Biden and former President Obama. That is why he didn’t run in 2016. Hillary was supposed to win and give the country 12 years of loving Democratic Party rule.

Well Joe that’s not how it turned out.

Although had he run against Hillary and Trump, the odds are he wouldn’t be President now. Folks would have seen him for what he is then, and he’d be in a rest home eating pudding or ice cream.

Biden was in Uvalde, Texas, on Sunday. The claim is that he’s to be meeting with the families of the victims of the Robb Elementary School shooting.

I can hardly wait to read what he says to those grieving people.

I truly hope one or more of them verbally take Biden to task over the border, defunding police, and his attempt to make their tragedy, his political gain.

Since he’s going to be that close to the border, does anyone think he’ll actually see the disaster his policies have wrought?

Nah, I don’t think so either.

If the GOP takes the House and Senate will it make any difference?

Unfortunately, I think it won’t.

I had hoped that it would put controls on the Biden Administration but now…

We’ve already seen what “accidentally releasing” a draft opinion on Roe v. Wade has done. I’ll grant you, the protests in the streets aren’t up to the par of our most recent “Summer of love,” but if the Democratic majority is tossed out on their collective asses as they well deserve, I expect the burning and looting to start all over again.

Republicans have been painted as sitting at the right hand of Satan. Conservatives are seen as racist minions of the Devil. Collectively, the two groups have been demonized as White supremacist domestic terrorists.

While to my knowledge, few if any of these assertions are true. There is a remarkably large group of people who believe it to be so.

Perception often becomes reality. Even when gravity doesn’t suddenly switch off on demand.

Those who believe Republicans and conservatives are terrorists, will require little to go back to rioting in the streets. I’ll not be surprised if we see people falling to their knees, rending their clothing, and crying as the election result are made known.

This poor individual. They’ve become the face of over dramatic stupidity.

I’ll be waiting for the tearful pronouncements, “Democracy is dead,” “NAZIS control Congress.”

I suspect that there will be a large number of saintly Democratic Candidates demanding recounts claiming that the demonic Republicans cheated at the ballot boxes or suppressed voters. Even in areas where the elections followed the same rules as the 2020 election.

They’ll trundle out the usual examples. People of Color, the poor, the sick, and you can bet there will be a trans person who won’t be able to vote “authentically as themselves” because their ID doesn’t match the name they give at the polling place.

I’m betting that first day with new members in Congress will be a circus. I haven’t figured out what kind of distraction the far left people within the Democratic Party will come up with, but I’m sure it will be amusingly transparent to everyone except the protestors.

There’s another problem though. Once all the protestors have gone home because it’s too cold to bother, the Republicans may choose not to take strong immediate action to curb the Biden Administration’s obvious screw-ups.

Why?

If I were running the Republican Party, I’d be inclined to let the current administration continue stepping on all the rakes they’ve left on the White House lawn.

They’ve pretty much looked like a bad combination of The Three Stooges, Laurel and Hardy, Abbot & Costello, and the Keystone Cops.

Were I thinking about maintaining Republican control for decades I’d let the administration continue to show just how incompetent they are. Let them destroy themselves, allow their policies and decisions to paint them as buffoons. Hey, I can be as much of a bastard as everyone else!

That would effectively gut any Democratic Party candidates for at least the next decade, possibly longer. Mothers who couldn’t feed their babies will have a very long memory. Truckers and commuters who lost their jobs due to gas prices will be unforgiving for a very long time.

Then at the last moment, preferably when Biden or Harris is on their knees before Congress begging for help. Only then does a Republican Congress roll out conservative, fiscally responsible, solutions to the Biden /Harris Administration’s self inflicted wounds.

The Biden / Harris Administration must be destroyed totally and shamed so throughly that none of the participants ever attempt to hold a political office again. The last thing I’d want (were I directing the Republican Party) is to allow the Biden / Harris Administration any room to say anything they did was a success.

Make sure that when the gas prices drop, The Country knows it’s the Conservative Republican Congress’s doing.

When the illegal border crossings stop, and the criminals who have used the open border to bring their crime, trafficking, drugs, and misery, are brought to justice. Make sure the Country knows who it was that took appropriate action.

When the shelves are stocked again, shipments are on time and under budget, driving cost of consumer goods down. Make sure there’s a (C) for Conservative visible on the shelf tags, to remind folks who actually does the job.

Then go after every single one of the former members of Congress who wrought this disaster. For those who lined their pockets from the misery of the American People regardless of their party affiliation… If the evidence supports incarceration, put them in the cells formerly occupied by the prisoners illegally held without due process or speedy trial in the Jan 6th riot.

To be clear, I don’t think the Republican Party or conservatives are saints. But I think they’d do a damn sight better than the current crop of morons running our country.

Sadly, it hinges on the newly elected officials in Congress putting the People first.

As I stated, I’m concerned that instead of taking action, they’ll choose vengeance. In their vengeance, the American People will still be pawns and suffer at the hands of power mad politicians.

I think, the only hope to rein in power mad politicians is the prospect of a very long prison sentence at hard labor, or hangman’s noose, if they’re caught.

When the presidential campaigns start up. I sincerely hope that Donald Trump has the good sense not to run. I don’t think he was a bad President. By comparison to Biden… He was awesome. Then again as Biden stands today, a psychotic monkey with a gun would be preferable.

Yeah I really don’t like Biden and haven’t liked him for as long as I can remember. I think maybe in the early days, he might have at least had his heart in the right place, but that faded very quickly.

I’d like to see pragmatic independent candidates who were unafraid to speak the truth. I’d like them to have a plan, and be willing to share their thoughts with the public during the campaign. Personally I eliminate candidates that appear to be pandering to specific groups.

I pay attention to candidates that have a consistent story, and those that say something like; “Oh, that’s an interesting point. I hadn’t considered that, you may have changed my approach,” to one of their competitors will have my full and undivided attention.

The last election, every candidate said something like, “We have to go totally green in energy production.” But few of them spoke about their vision for getting from where we are, to a green future.

I’d have asked, “Are you proposing using the advances we’ve made in nuclear reactors? Do you propose every roof of every home in America have solar panels? Is your proposal to create wind farms? Create more Hydroelectric power generation? What is your plan to achieve this goal?”

You don’t have to believe in climate change, to implicitly understand the less pollution we generate, the less we have to clean up. The less oil or coal we use, the longer those resources last. Everyone gets that. Even the most adamant Climate Change Denier won’t argue.

What they will argue with, is being told they’re going to have to use technology that isn’t adequate to their needs. For example, having to buy 2 pricey electric tractors to keep up their farm production where they only needed one 20 year old diesel tractor to do the job before.

Folks will balk at being told that fuel prices are going to be taxed into the stratosphere as an incentive to switch to inadequate technologies, by people who don’t have the sense to step around cow shit in a field. (No, Senator… That’s not a mud puddle! Those shoes weren’t expensive were they?)

Trust me, working folks will leap to demonstrably superior tools. Check out any construction site and you’ll find all the workers using battery powered tools all over the place. No cords, same capability, it’s a no brainer. Even nail guns are going battery. It’s nice to not have a compressor and a long assed pneumatic hose when you’re doing finish work.

A local handyman here, deploys solar panels across the hood of his truck to power battery chargers for his tools. He’s not high tech, he’s not a greenie, he’s just pragmatic. He works on vacation or rental homes that often have the power turned off.

The point is, instead of screwing with gas taxes and mandates, a politician should have a broad plan.

They should be able to say, “Yes, I want solar panels on every roof. During the day we should be able to direct excess power from the housing panels to power our schools or offices where we learn and work. Hopefully it would be enough that we could direct oil and coal generated power to industry during the day, increasing our GDP but overall reducing the fossil generated kilowatts those plants have to produce. At night, I’d like to have the ability to redirect oil and coal generated power to light and heat or cool our homes. We’ll use this system until we can bring new safer nuclear plants online. My plan is to transition in a logical, planned way. Along the way, I’m confident we will make new discoveries and those may make the transition faster, and more efficient. To that end, I propose that we fund as much energy research as possible. Not just power generation, but also power storage. I propose that we mine, refine, and produce the raw materials and finished products here in America. This provides jobs and potentially can increase our exports to other nations.

Every politician should be able to lay out various plans to address the issues of the day.

You don’t have to agree with the plan. But someone who lays out the broad strokes at least has thought about it. They’re not just pandering to activists for votes. The harder step is holding them accountable and calling them out if they haven’t delivered on their plan(s).

I use the same approach when reviewing all candidates.

It’s a given that no one candidate is going to embody every cause of the day. What I’m looking for is a candidate or candidates that at least are bold enough to speak their minds, honest enough to admit they don’t know everything, and smart enough to have thought about the issues.

Sadly, we’ve created a world where one misstep or poorly chosen word can destroy a candidate who would otherwise be the best person for the job. This allows only the pretty, the pandering, the disingenuous, and those driven by greed for money or power to hold office.

I don’t think that’s likely to change anytime soon.

This is why I think the Republican “Red Wave” in the midterms is going to be a big nothing burger.

The new boss will be exactly the same as the old boss.

Well I guess the establishment Democrats were really spooked…

After all, what better way to make sure people vote Democrat?

I’m speaking about the SCOTUS leak.

1979 was the last time a leak like this occurred. This time, the leak couldn’t have better timing.

The other half, a former cradle Democrat, (Now a confirmed Independent,) still gets emails from the Democratic Party. In recent weeks, the number of emails has gotten to the point that it’s “Select All” and “delete” every morning.

Every single one of these emails is asking for 5 bucks here, 10 bucks there, help as much as you can, even a dollar helps, and not one of them mentions volunteering to help the Democrat Party. It’s all about money and the emails always say the same thing.

“Our Democracy is under threat.” Doom and gloom. “If the Republicans win the House and the Senate, our way of life is over…”

Really?

I think the other half said there were 15 emails like this yesterday. Most of them asking for support of candidates from states other than the one in which we reside.

My question is how can anyone donate to a campaign for a candidate which they don’t know, haven’t heard of, with no information other than a (D) after their name?

That’s not informed donation. That’s donating glitter to make the best posters for a Prom Queen or King for a high school you don’t attend.

But it explains how politicians throw obscene amounts of money behind a shitty candidate. Then when the candidate demonstrates they’re a vapid moron, the politicians can say, “This candidate was backed by popular opinion and money, they had the support of the people…”

Yeah, right!

I gather in this case, the fundraising wasn’t going as well as the Democrats wanted. They needed the big guns, and the leak of a draft decision on Roe v. Wade was just the kind of thing that would turn on the money spigot.

We’re already seeing the reporting decrying this ‘Horrific assault on Women’s rights’ and yet more calls for packing the court. Protests in front of the Supreme Court have started, barricades are going up, chaos ensues.

Aren’t those protests the beginning of an insurrection? Just asking…

This morning I’ve seen some articles saying this is the beginning of an all out assault on LGBT… lmnop rights, and the rights of the poor.

What better way to weld Women, People of Color, LGBT, and Progressives, into a single voting block?

I wait with anticipation to see what the shrews on The View say. They always have something stupid to say about stuff like this. I’ve gotten in the habit of not reading anything they say while I’m drinking my morning coffee.

I’ve damn near drowned one too many times.

The really sad thing is, this strategy might just work. Hundreds of thousands of people who were leaning toward a more conservative vote may instead choose to pick their local equivalent of AOC.

The Democrats may win and hold onto power in Congress. If they do, the insanity will continue for another two years.

That’s not to say that the Republicans would be any better. Most of them can’t seem to find their asses or morals with both hands and landing lights. They’re as much part of the problem as the Democrats and the whole lot of them should be voted out.

We need a fresh start. We need people governing us who are not part of the establishment, who are not bought & paid for. We need people who know what it is to wonder if their paycheck will be enough to put food on the table.

Folks who know what it’s like to eat off of chipped Melmac plates and use free gas station glasses. We need people who’ve given their portion of dinners to their children. They’re the ones who have a direct interest is turning the economy around and making decisions that help everyone.

It’s time the governance of the country was turned back over to the common people. Those who do not have Harvard or Yale law degrees but who do have common sense, know how to balance their checkbook, and live on a budget.

I’d bet these people can propose laws that are as good, or better than the jackasses in power now. With the help of the Supreme Court those proposed laws can be analyzed for Constitutionality, modified as needed, and then passed or defeated in Congress by a group of like minded common folks.

It might not be better, but at least it would be honest and representative of the people our government is supposed to serve.

I care nothing for Roe v. Wade. I don’t believe it is, or ever was, a Constitutional right.

No matter how you cut it, it’s killing a child. I’m able to stomach abortion in the first few months, but I absolutely can’t condone late term, or the more horrific, partial birth abortion.

If I condoned those, then I might as well condone full retroactive abortion too.

What’s the difference between inducing labor in the last trimester and killing a potentially viable child, or a woman pumping out a child in a dirty bathroom, then dropping the child in the nearest dumpster? The first one, a clinic and medical staff make money. The last one, is child abandonment and a crime.

Frankly, I see zero difference, other than money changing hands.

What would retroactive abortion look like? Say up to age 18, either parent could “Abort” a child. I bet there’d be a lot less trouble in schools.

“Hey Joe, where’s Billy?”

“Oh, Pricilla aborted his ass a month ago. She caught him rubbing one out, and he got a “D” in Home Economics. She dropped a hair dryer in the hot tub after the championship game.”

“Sorry man, he was really great on the football field. You gonna make another one?”

“Nah, I got snipped about 10 years ago. Don’t want any more mistakes like the last two. Especially not with Pricilla!”

“Huh, That why you’re selling the house?”

“Yep, we don’t need the space…”

Another missed opportunity…

Joe Biden took office and said he was about unity.

Kamala Harris echoed that sentiment.

Today on the anniversary of the Jan 6th riot, both missed another opportunity to instill unity.

I’not not a fan of either Biden or Harris. Nonetheless, they are the President and Vice President.

I’m a big fan of our country regardless of who occupies the oval office.

I think the entire world realizes that Biden is fading out. It’s sad that Biden is being forced to expose his decline to the whole world.

He should be at his home, his dogs at his side, with his comfortable slippers on. The rigors of the Presidency are too much for him at his age. The man deserves some peace, let him enjoy photo albums and home movies of the happier times in his life.

That’s the nature of coming to the end of your life. A person should be allowed to put down their burdens and enjoy their time left in the garden appreciating the little things. That’s how I’d like to go out anyway.

President Biden continued banging the drum against former President Trump. That’s his right, but in the end, most of his words are just words. I think few people take them seriously.

After 6 years of Trump bashing from the Democratic Party and media, is anyone listening anymore? It’s all become the same old song. How many of us hear Trump did… and think, “There they go again should I bother to listen, or tune them out like a bad commercial on TV?”

It’s become just like the whole “Birther” bullshit about Obama.

Even if someone had produced “The Smoking Gun” proving that Obama was not born in this country after the first year, what would have been done? If we were a young and vibrant country he’d have been impeached, the VP would have become President and we’d have proven that our system and laws work.

But we’re not a young and vibrant country. We’re more like Grandpa who’s clearly lost driving to the grocery store but who can’t bring himself to admit it then ask for directions.

I think we’re in the same position with the 2020 election. It’s completely pointless to keep banging the drum about a stolen election. Even if all the irregularities Trump claims happened were to prove true, what then?

I can’t even imagine all the chaos surrounding the removal of Biden / Harris and their administration. Just imagine what that would look like after a year.

Pelosi as The President Pro temp, while the Supreme Court scrambled to undo executive orders, rolling things back to Trump? I can’t even imagine the constitutional complexities of installing Trump at this point. I don’t believe there’s any precedent for such a thing and what do you do with the fact that The Presidential term is four years? How do you resolve that disparity?

The economy and in fact the nation probably couldn’t take the strain. God only knows what the Nation would look like after everything was said and done.

We’ve got to come together, work through the problems and do better in the next election cycle.

Therein is the missed opportunity.

Kamala Harris’s speech where she spoke of dates that live in our collected memories was not incorrect.

There are dates that live in our national memory. April 19, 1775, April 12, 1861, Dec 7, 1941, and Sept 11, 2001 do have significance.

I disagree with her that the Jan 6th riot is on par with those particular dates. (I added the start of the revolutionary and civil wars.) I think her speech writers attempt to conflate a riot with actual wars is disingenuous. I also think that it adds fuel to the fire and does a dis-service to Vice President Harris.

The left media is nodding their approval and parroting the same talking points about a riot being an insurrection. The right media is using the conflation as a bludgeon.

Were I one of her speech writers I’d have suggested that The Vice President take the opportunity to attempt to unify the nation.

My thinking is along these lines. Instead of conflating the Jan 6th riot with attacks on the United States from without as was done. I’d have gone with Vietnam Protests, and The Watts Riots, the Civil rights movement, and even the BLM Protests.

Bear with me here. I know there are a lot of people who’re clenching their jaws and thinking, “fuck you!” I ask that you be patient.

The reason I’d have gone this particular direction is because the Vice President could have at that point said that these events were example of American citizens acting out because they believed their government wasn’t listening.

In the cases cited above, the leadership in Washington had to listen. These events caused change. While initially the government resisted the change, eventually the leadership conceded to the will of the people. We got out of Vietnam, the Civil rights movement saw the disparity addressed, imperfectly, but at least disparity wasn’t being ignored anymore. BLM has brought attention to abusive policing.

Vice President Harris could have used this opportunity to reach out to the people who apparently felt so disenfranchised that they stormed the capital, to express their displeasure. Her message could have been, “We’re listening, your leaders have heard you.”

The Vice President would at that point have been in a position to begin at least binding the wounds. To begin that unification promised on inauguration day. She’d have reaffirmed that the first amendment was alive and well, and that she as a leader, (We know she’s going to be President,) would honor the clause in the First Amendment regarding the citizens seeking redress of their grievances.

Whether she actually meant it or not is irrelevant. Every single politician will lie to their own mother to retain office.

She would have appeared for a moment as a moderate, competent leader and it would have played well with large swaths of Americans. She’d also have added fuel to the scattered reports that she and President Biden don’t see eye to eye. That would probably have played even better for her polling, since it’s been said that The President is restraining her, limiting her effectiveness, and cutting her out of governing processes.

I don’t know if I’d have believed her any more than I do normally.

I do believe she missed an opportunity to put a lovely banana peel under President Biden and it would have smoothed her inevitable transition into the Presidency.

In any case, I for one am tired of the divisive rhetoric and hyperbole coming from both sides of our leadership and press.

I don’t care if Trump was elected. I don’t care if Biden was elected. I do care that we put a stop to the claims after every election that come from the losers. This bullshit has been going on since Gore and the hanging chads.

There’s always a BIG LIE! The only difference is who’s telling it.

Both major parties have participated in election disputes for decades it’s not strictly one side or the other. That fact should be remembered as well.

Don’t we as a nation have the right, or the will, to put an end to this chaos? Don’t we have the right to be secure in the knowledge that the elected officials are really the choice of the majority of the people? We don’t have to agree with, or like the officials. We should however be able to move on with our lives within a month after an election and turn our attention to other matters of importance.

Think how difficult it must be for leaders of other nations to deal with this chaos. They can’t in good faith negotiate with a President that may at any moment be found to be illegitimate or impeached for the 20th time. I’d submit that it is the duty of the United States to clean up our voting issues for the benefit of, not only ourselves, but the world.

Alas, all administrations for the past 30 years or so have gotten lazy and in the habit of blaming the other guy for the problems in front of them.

It doesn’t matter, New Mr President, who actually spilled the milk. You’re the one standing over it, so go get a mop!

Okay, I’m done with this year.

Let’s get this 2022 party started!

As we count down to the New Year, I often try to think of things I’m thankful for from the previous year.

The list this year is pitifully small. In 2020 it’s a, “What List?” situation, so I guess 2021 has been marginally better. I’m kind of worried that 2022 is going to be a sucky year too.

I’m thinking that we’re going to have to put up with a full year of really crappy politics running up to the 2022 election. No matter which party comes out on top, we’re no doubt going to have endless recounts.

The way it looks now, (although it could change,) people are dissatisfied enough with the Democrats in Congress that they’re likely to be voted out. This would effectively kneecap the Biden Administration and lead no doubt, to endless squabbling and nothing getting done for another two years. AGAIN!

While everyone is gearing up for the circus of various elections, the Jan 6th Committee will continue on without actually doing anything, except issuing subpoenas. Those subpoena’s will be fought in court wasting millions in taxpayer dollars and bankrupting supposed members of Trump’s inner circle. That in itself is unfair punishment and very probably the point of issuing the subpoenas in the first place. Especially if the person happens to be innocent, this way they’re punished anyway and their families. Reminds me of a certain biblical king who killed the firstborn male child of every Jewish Family.

Honestly at this point I think the Jan 6th committee should just open with, “Are you now or have you ever been a member of the Republican Party?” They can follow that up with, “Have you ever stayed at a Trump hotel, attended a Trump rally, agreed in any way with Trump, worked for Trump, spoken his name, have you ever been in Washington DC or communicated with anyone in Washington DC, or believed at any time that The Constitution of The United States was valid?”

Their next statement should just be, “We find you guilty… of whatever!”

I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if they pulled up all the ballots for Trump and just imprisoned everyone that voted for him instead of Biden. It would be simpler and save everyone a lot of time, money, and aggravation. That seems to be where they’re heading anyway.

Yes, I’m annoyed by the whole thing.

I’d be a lot happier if they’d stop “fishing” and focus on the primary suspects, then branch out to other suspects as the evidence led them. In my opinion what we’re seeing right now looks a lot less like a search for truth, and a lot more like the old Soviet Style destruction of political enemies.

If they’ve got a valid point they should make it, if not, then shut up and get back to the work they were elected to do. I’m totally sick and tired of Trump witch hunts. What have we had, 5, 6 years of this mind numbing bullshit?

Trump was impeached TWICE, both times big nothing burgers. Now he’s supposedly at the heart of a plot to overthrow the United States? If he’s SOOOOO dangerous why the fuck isn’t he sitting in a prison cell? Why are there a bunch of other people sitting in prison cells denied due process?

I’m not looking forward to the continuing follies of the Jan 6th committee in any way. The bunch of them should be slapped like the three stooges, then disbanded. Although I’d tune in to C-SPAN to watch someone slap ’em all. Yeah, I often have C-SPAN open on my computer.

It’s a great way to see and hear what’s happening real time in a variety of hearings. It’s also a great way to understand why so little gets done in Congress. These people spend more time bloviating and self aggrandizing than they do asking germane questions.

One of these days there’s going to be someone like me testifying who’ll interrupt some congressman thanking them for their appearance for the 20th time and that person will say, “Yeah congressman, I’m here because you demanded my presence, threatened my livelihood, and my family, so stop with the bullshit thanking me and get to your fucking point!”

The other scenario that would have me rolling on the floor laughing would be where the congressman spouts on, and on, monologging without asking a question. I’d love to see the witness interrupt and ask, “Uh do you need me for this? I’ve got other places to be and you aren’t asking a question.”

I’d pay to see either one!

I’ve loved watching Rand Paul tearing Fauci a new asshole every single time he’s appeared. I miss Trey Gowdy in hearings. I’m happy that he’s doing something he likes doing, but I loved him being a bad ass lawyer when he was asking questions in Congressional hearings. I didn’t always agree with him, but damn, he earned my respect. I’d hire him as my attorney anytime! Rand Paul and Trey Gowdy tearing at Fauci and Collins would be an epic pay per view event.

In the new year I’m going to try to ignore the “news,” more so than I have this year.

I am going to be listening to the actual hearings more. I’m hoping that the Jan 6th committee starts broadcasting everything on C-SPAN, I doubt very much that they will.

I’ll be watching what they do broadcast with interest. I can hardly wait to see their evidence of a plot. If there was a plot, I’d like to understand what that was, how it came to be, and who were its architects. If there wasn’t actually a plot, I’m sure that Adam Schiff will present some really interesting faked slides with out of context quotes that can be debunked. Again.

(Adam, FYI, your most recent “text message” fake was poorly done. Everyone knows what a real text message looks like. If you’d like assistance faking text messages, graphics, or evidence, I’m available, and I work fairly cheap. BTW I am a pure capitalist who’s been forcibly unemployed for a long while, I could use the money. I don’t have to agree with you or even like you…)

(I’m also available for hire to the defendants in the Jan 6th probe. If I can make fakes, I’m gonna be good at spotting and debunking them.)

Hey, a man’s gotta eat! I’ll work for the highest bidder! Go Capitalism!!!
