I really was trying to ignore the News…

But Come On!

Colorado has decided to keep Trump off the ballot using the 14th amendment section 3, and they’ve made this decision by assuming his guilt in the Jan 6th “Insurrection,” (what the rest of us call a riot,) without benefit of a trial

Folks, no matter where you come down on Trump, Jan 6th, Republican or Democrat, this is wrong!

Honestly, it’s something that should alarm every single American Citizen. I’m serious, all of us should be shitting ourselves and preparing for what inevitably happens next, if you believe the history books.

That Judges in Colorado’s courts think this is okay, calls into question their competence, and their ability to be unbiased in administration of the law.

Frankly, if this is allowed to stand then “Democracy” as the Democrats breathlessly say they’re protecting, is already dead and gone. (The minor little issue that our government is, or was, a constitutional republic seems to escape them.) However what I think they’re trying to say is, Democracy = Our form of government with checks and balances and supposedly equal justice for all, is threatened.

We still have to wait for the Supreme Court challenge to be heard. If the Supreme Court of the United States allows the Colorado ruling  to stand, there is no justice system in our country anymore.  We’re going to find ourselves in an era of “Show me the man, I’ll find the crime,” justice.

By the way, that’s normally the way the justice system works in communist countries, and dictatorships.

I’d submit that politicians have already destroyed that “Democracy” they claim to protect. Oh, and it’s not just the Democrats. The Republicans had a hand in the destruction of our form of government too. Every compromised vote, every rancid pork bill they passed, eroded our government and enabled ever greater corruption.

We can’t reasonably expect any form of government to stand under the weight of corruption from bottom to top.

Speaking of which… By Colorado’s logic what about Joe Biden?

He’s under impeachment inquiry, There is some evidence to suggest that he’s been in bed with China and Ukraine which also appears to fall under the same section of the 14th amendment.

Corruption, providing aid to China, and what appears to be a litany of charges, are dogging Joe Biden aren’t they? Shouldn’t Colorado remove him from the ballot too?

Oh right! We only believe unproven allegations when it’s a candidate from a party we don’t like… Otherwise everything is hunky dory!

I realize I might be the canary in the coal mine here.

That being said, I’ve suggested outlandish theories in these very pages only to have them come true!

Remember Afghanistan? Way back in the day, I theorized that we’d end up just like the Russians. Recall, they spent years in Afghanistan just as we did. You might also recall that eventually they bailed and left behind The Taliban. Uhhh, we spent 20 years there and what was the result? It sure as fuck wasn’t a democracy.

One thing I’ve concluded, about terrorists and corrupt politicians. You can’t take half measures. They’re like a cockroach infestation, with cockroaches you have no choice but to gas the place and kill them all, or they’re going to come back. We’ve seen it with The Taliban, so the theory holds up in one instance. To prove it we may have to march corrupt politicians to the gallows here in America.

We won’t of course…

There was a time when corruption was a very bad thing. Now it’s business as usual. The obviousness of the two tiered justice system is new. There’s always been a difference between trials of rich people and trials of us commoners. I’m not so blind or deluded that I hadn’t noticed. Back 10 or 20 years, you had to really be paying attention to catch it.

Now it’s not as much about who has how much money… Justice is dictated by the people threatening to burn a city down. Or by people who don’t like a particular political candidate. The Law??? Toss that shit out with yesterday’s dirty diapers and unwanted fetuses.

There was a time when the failures of the Justice system could be overlooked, those failures were somewhat rare and had to do with esoteric issues. Now, failures of the justice system are much more common. This new failure mechanism isn’t a failure in trials, it’s a failure in bringing people to trial, and an almost infinitely flexible criteria for charging someone with a crime.

If I’m Black and toss a molotov cocktail into a drug store. I’m simply expressing my opinion. If I’m White, or Asian, and do the same thing, I’ve committed a crime.

If I organize a protest supporting Hamas and their butchering of children, wherein I block a freeway, or invade and occupy the capital interfering with congressional business, I’m exercising my protected free speech.

If I organize a protest supporting the IDF and Israeli rights to defend themselves, wherein I block a street in New York I’m inciting hate. Likewise, If I walk through the Capital on Jan 6th carrying nothing but a flag, and interfering with congressional business,  I’m an insurrectionist and subject to the full force of American Law.

These things suggest to me that the America I was brought up to respect, revere, and protect has been destroyed from within.

It’s depressing as hell, but there’s nothing that can be done. The only solution is to reboot the government according to the Bill of Rights and Constitution. That can’t happen today because there are too many dissenting voices and too many people who literally hate everything this country stood for. That leaves the only option for control being a military dictator and even if that dictatorship was only supposed to be temporary while rebooting to original principles, we know we’d have a dictator for life.

Even if there was a civil war or some kind of revolution, there would never be consensus about how to restart the government. We’d still end up with a military dictator. The thing about dictators is that they have no desire to give up power once they have it.

Sadly, I think the American Experiment is over. We had a good run.

I think it’s time to locate a quiet state that remembers its roots as a commonwealth. Preferably someplace with a history of fierce independence, individual freedom, and rights. Oh and that state needs to have a constitution that is enforced and honored. Because at this point, it looks like our Federal government has decided to wipe their asses with the actual constitution.

Sorry to be such a downer, but honestly folks… I think nationally, we’re well and truly fucked.

OH Really… Like this is a surprise.

The Jerusalem Post is reporting that the Hamas Leaders, you know, the assholes living in luxury in Qatar, have suddenly turned off their phones and left their nice digs.

I find it interesting that Hamas fighters will do all the horrific things they’ve done, on the orders of men sitting on their fat asses in another country. Men who never go hungry, who have the finest clothing, and the best of everything, and who order the poor deluded “Freedom Fighters” to do despicable things or order them to their deaths. That alone speaks volumes about the mental capacity of Hamas fighters and the Palestinian people in general.

Of course the same could be said to some extent of our “Elites” and our military. I hope and pray our average soldier still questions the morality of orders they’re given. I’m starting to wonder about that, but perhaps the discussion should wait lest I open another “Rabbit Hole” and never finish this post.

The Hamas Leaders “going on the run”, and that’s what they’re doing, suggests that they’ve realized the IDF was very serious about hunting down those responsible for 10/7. It’s also possible that the IDF is closing in on these fuckers.

Personally, I think a worldwide bounty would be more efficient. If Israel offered a million bucks for these guys heads I can think of a few people who’d take that action. Why not? Hell, Muslims all over the world would probably turn them in for the bounty. There is no honor amongst those people.

Were I younger, well trained, and healthier, I’d consider going all Predator on these cockroaches. The payday would just be a bonus. The real payoff would be ridding the world of defective, horrific, rabid animals, like Hamas.

If they think they’re going to be safe in the US that’s a sad state of affairs on a number of levels.

1) They shouldn’t be able to enter the country in the first place and they shouldn’t under any circumstances feel the US would be “Safe” for them. Unfortunately, I suspect neither is true anymore.
2) If they make it to the US they’ll use the Palestinians in the US as human shields hoping to “blend in”. Then they’ll pervert our laws to their protection. Our feckless politicians will allow it.
3) If pissed off folks in America start hunting Palestinians looking for these cowards then so called innocent people will be hurt. I question the innocence of Palestinians in general, based on Rashida Tlaib and the Protests in the streets. I’m willing to accept the possibility of innocent Palestinians for the time being.

I find myself thinking, “If no Muslim country will provide safe haven to the poor displaced Palestinian victims perhaps it’s reasonable to ask why. What do they know that the rest of the world doesn’t?”

I look forward to the heads of Hamas Leadership on pikes.

Perhaps a little too Vlad, but my family origin is northern European.

Hey, I could have gone full Vlad and called for them to be impaled alive, then have their posts set along the entrance road to The Dome of the Rock.

I know, if that were to be done, (deserved, given what Hamas did to women and children,) the Palestinians would run to the UN and whine like little bitches. “They’re being mean to us… This is a war crime… “

Yeah, whatever! Fuck off!

If the IDF were to use sling shots in defending themselves, the UN, the Muslim World, and the Palestinians, would accuse Israel of war crimes.

My advice to Israel, “You’re going to be guilty of some war crime (even if you’re not,) no matter what, so carpet bomb Gaza. Then Napalm it. Then flood it. Repeat as necessary and make sure everyone else knows that Gaza is an example of what will happen to them.”

Go fucking crazy! Don’t bother with restraint. If the world thinks you’ve lost your minds they might just think twice before screwing with you.

It might take some time, and some examples, but as long as you say what you’ll do, and do what you say, eventually even the moronic muslim world will get the picture, or go extinct. Either way is a win.

The logic is pretty simple. If someone wants to kill you, (and muslims have stated they do, time and again.)

Kill them first!

May Hamas leaders come to brutally ugly ends. Heads on Pikes (optional).

As an aside…

I’ve read it in news articles, and heard it said in the crowds of protesters shown on TV, that white people should be killed.

As a white person, from a family of white people who generally speaking, like our lives, families, God, and guns. You might want to review this philosophy…

The logic is pretty simple. If someone wants to kill you…

Kill them first!

Y’all probably don’t want to poke the white bear!

Just Sayin…

Just about when I think California isn’t that bad…

California slaps me in the face.

I guess that’s better than my Brother punching me out and waking up in a deprogramming camp somewhere in a flyover state. Don’t laugh, I wouldn’t put it past him.

My brother is absolutely convinced that California is the worst state in the union. This is coming from a guy who has lived in New York, Washington D.C., and Minneapolis, MN. I think he looks at California as a contaminant to the rest of the United States.

I’ve lived here so long a lot of the insanity here seems “normal”. When I’m out of California for a while I find myself thinking how strange this place is.

Then there are days like Wednesday…

I had my car in for service. I had a loaner and as usual I returned the loaner with a full tank of gas (even though they gave it to me with less than 1/4 of a tank) Hey, They Loaned me a brand new car. I treat it like when a friend loans you their car. Custom was, that you return your friends car clean, and full of gas.

All was well. The issue with my car could not be reproduced so It’s a waiting game until the failure becomes a bit more obvious if it’s really a problem at all. It’s one of those things that is a weird sound. But it might be nothing at all.

Nonetheless I got two new tires and an alignment. The two old tires were showing their belts in a couple of spots. It was time! Especially since we’re coming up on winter and wet roads.

I went out to my car and opened the door.

WTF?!?!?!

Someone had been using my iPhone cables that were stored in the center console. I wouldn’t have minded except that it was obvious the person had also been playing their music through the car’s sound system. This was easy to determine because the cable was connected to the USB AUX IN (inside the console), and the entertainment system said “NO USB SOURCE”

But it didn’t stop there, both seats, Passenger and Driver’s were covered in greasy dirt.

Okay…

Time to go bring this to someone’s attention.

I tell the supervisor that we have a problem, as I’m heading into the parts department to purchase a package of leather cleaner wipes. $5 no big deal and I’ll use them next time I hit the car wash.

As I’m wiping the Driver’s seat I discover two deep gouges in the leather. Not quite cuts, but deep narrow gouges. Probably caused by a tool in someone’s back pocket or a clip of some kind attached to someone’s belt.

Now I’m seriously annoyed and I march back to the supervisor’s desk to bring this to his attention.

On the plus side, if the car hadn’t been dirty when I got it back I might not have noticed the gouges.

I was nice, but I told the dealership this kind of thing is beyond unacceptable.

They agreed!

Next time, I’m pulling all the cables out of the console. Oh, and there will be a next time because they’ve told me they will repair the damage to my seats.

I needed a drink. So I called a close friend and we went to lunch.

That was nice, and I was much happier getting back on the road. I really do like my car better than the loaners.

It’s 2:30 as I pull out of the restaurant parking lot. I make it to the 261 out of Orange County by 2:40 and the toll road is pretty clear.

I should have made it home in about 90 minutes. NOPE!

2.5 hours later I’m in the line to get off at my exit. I’ve been creeping up the hill for the past 20 minutes. And as I approach the exit, assholes start cutting in from the left. Why? Simple, because they are dicks! All the rest of us had been waiting patiently. Cutting in from the left like that is just jumping the line. These assholes know they can do it because no-one wants an accident and that’s the only way you can stop an asshole from cutting the line at an exit.

Them cutting the line like that by the way just makes the problem at the exit worse because now there’s more turbulence and more danger.

After the 10th motherfucker (This one diving directly in front of me,) I lost my shit and started laying on the horn.

For those of you living outside of California, that is supposed to be the height of rudeness when driving.

But wait it gets worse…

There’s road work near the exit. They’re putting lights in, (about fucking time!) Actually we did fine without lights since 1992 when I moved up here. There was only a stop sign. It was a 4 way stop and people OBEYED the law.

Now we’re getting lights. They’ve made one lane left turn only. The other lane is right turn only or straight through. The lights at the freeway exit are operational. The left turn lane turns into a single lane and YET, people insist on making left turns from both lanes then causing accidents when they run out of lane, and into concrete barriers.

I’ve watched an 18 wheeler make the turn illegally from the right turn only lane and damn near decapitate a motorcyclist in the process.

Again…

It’s about obeying the LAW. But apparently people in California have decided that the law applies to everyone else not them.

Kind of like the Biden clan. Or a lot of the Democrats in congress.

The thing is, 200 miles outside California, driving changes. Get past the Las Vegas strip and people even in NV are halfway decent drivers. Arizona, on the I-40 people get super courteous. Phoenix and Tucson are a lot more like California was 20 years ago. Don’t worry, they’ll both get as shitty as California traffic is because the Californians are bailing to Phoenix and Tucson.

There are also a lot of illegals driving there too and the mix of these drivers and those who learned to drive in the United States tend to breed a lot of shitty traffic and / or a lot of accidents.

All of this is to say that by the time I manage to get home, these days, I’m really wound up. It’s also why I don’t really like leaving the mountain. Driving has become such a chore. Either you’re expecting someone to barrel into you from 1 (or more) of 3 directions. Or you’ll drop from 75 MPH to 0MPH for absolutely no reason.

Well, there is a reason, some moron ahead of you is tapping on their brakes in time with a RAP song and the uncertainty and randomness of the flashing tail lights is causing everyone to tap their breaks too because they think there’s something happening on the freeway.

All it takes is one idiot in the fast lane farting around and the whole freeway turns into a fucked up traffic jam.

Anyway, after I got home, I had time to take the pup for his walk. It was a short one because I don’t like walking him in the dark.

We have bears, mountain lions, bobcats, and coyotes. Generally, they’re all happy to avoid a human and his dog in the daytime. But at night, things change. These critters conclude they might have an advantage and things can go south from there.

I’d hate to be responsible for one of these beautiful creatures being put down, because I did something really stupid and looked like I was walking a tasty treat, or worse yet… That I was a tasty meal. Either event would result in one of these creatures being hunted and killed.

That would be tragic.

I need to schedule a spa day for the dog. I’ve got my haircut scheduled. I’d like a massage maybe I’ll schedule that in the upcoming week or so.

I’ll keep tossing stuff out of the house through the winter. The goal is to have the place in shape enough to put it on the market the first day of spring.

As I started this post. Just about when I think staying in California would be okay… The reality of California slaps me in the face. One of those realities is traffic getting consistently worse.

Another reality is $425 registration fees for a vehicle. And let’s face it, jobs are problematic. Both of my 2 oldest friends. Guys I met when I first moved to California, we started working at Toys R Us in our teens, have retired in the past year.

Why? Because they were being chronically fucked with by managers who couldn’t manage their way out of a wet paper bag.

I retired because no-one claiming they’re hiring will return a fucking phone call.

Note, none of us have reached “Retirement” age. We’re taking our Social Security early.

We’d all like to work…

But we’re apparently the wrong sex, wrong color, and the wrong age.

So we’ve all decided to take our football and go home.
