9/11

Lasttower 2011091122 years later.

That morning, I’d just gotten up, grabbed my computer and began the ritual of looking for a job over my morning coffee. I’d flipped on CNN, back when they were an actual source of information, instead of propaganda and sat in stunned disbelief watching the replay of the planes flying into the twin towers.

I’d missed the actual event due to the time change but witnessed the aftermath and knew that our country would never be the same.

I pounded my fists bloody on the floor in front of the television. Impotent rage at something that had already happened. I was young… just over 40. I was afraid for my brother who I knew was going to be in the thick of it.

I also decided at that moment to take the first opportunity to finally go work for the Military Industrial Complex. I was too old to join the military, but by God I could help to build shit to utterly destroy our enemies. Or, as it turned out, build shit designed to add to the safety of our troops.

On 9/11/2001 I’d have turned the entire Middle East to nuclear glass, and never thought about the millions sent to Allah. It was a safe bet 9/11 was some asshole from the Middle East, My thought was nuke ‘em all and then you don’t have to worry about ‘em ever again. This was especially true when I saw images of people in the Middle East celebrating. I’d have gladly made sure they were all well and truly fucked. I’d have smiled watching those fuckers die like cockroaches in a cheap apartment.

My other half came home from school early. The classes he’d been subbing for had been dismissed and the children sent home to be with their parents. He hugged me, calming my rage and hate. Then he cleaned and bandaged my bloody fists. He pointed out that my nuke ‘em all and let Allah sort ‘em out was pretty close to genocide and that wasn’t a good solution. I admitted he was right. We sat on the couch holding each other, watching the news coverage until it became obvious that the talking heads were repeating the same thing over and over again. We turned off the TV. When we went to bed that night we held each other tightly wondering if there would be more attacks while we slept.

As I said, I knew our country would be irrevocably changed. At the time I didn’t realize that the source of changes  would come from inside our borders, from our own people,  and indeed from within the halls of Congress.

Later, I remember being uncomfortable with The Patriot Act. I went along with it because there wasn’t a choice (my voice mattered little,) but also on the assurances that The Patriot Act was a Temporary measure. That was back in the day when I has some measure of trust in our politicians and political process.

Well, The Patriot act has been temporary for 21 years and it isn’t going away any time soon.

I never thought that fear would end up being so potent a weapon that Americans, of all people would fall in line asking the Government to protect them, or that they’d be so willing to trade rights and freedoms for the illusion of government protection.

We should have been demanding answers of our Government. We should have demanded an explanation how they had so abjectly failed to protect our borders. You know, the primary thing the government is supposed to do… Not from a place of fear, but from a place of holding the politicians fully accountable for their failure.

Yes, there were hearings and investigations. There were a few “sacrificial lambs”.  “New” more powerful bureaucracies were born. But in the end, the people that were in power, and therefore responsible for this epic failure… Remained in power. Most of the policies that had allowed 9/11 to happen in the first place are still in force today.

The only people who experienced limitations of their freedoms and rights post 9/11, were American Citizens. Illegal surveillance, censorship, “enacted for the public good,” any of this ringing a bell?

Our borders, which should have been closed on 9/11 at the ends of gun barrels, remained open and still remain open today.

The rationale was and is, “These poor migrants are looking for a better life.” That is a true statement. But the chaos of our border policies, and lax enforcement of expired visas and our not deporting people who have committed crimes (the first of which was entering the country illegally,) and all the rest of it has led to our not knowing who is within our borders.

These are exactly the same conditions the 9/11 hijackers exploited to launch their attack in 2001.

As we listen to Mayorkas in hearings, if you listen very closely, you’ll hear that our border is no longer being over-run by only people from Mexico or failed South American countries. You’ll hear that nationals from all over the world are being apprehended at the border and many more are “got aways”

In other words, another 9/11 is possible, and I’d say probable. If I were a son of a bitch like Osama bin Laden, I’d be planning some big assed 9/11 attack on the 25th anniversary. God knows, I’d have plenty of time to move assets in place. Even if 10% of my guys were stopped trying to cross the almost non existent border, I could still put enough bad guys in place with enough time and resources to make the 25th anniversary a real “blow out”.

Every time I hear Mayorkas telling us that the border is secure I ask myself, “Is he delusional, or is he an agent of a foreign power?”

It needn’t be a disgruntled islamic nation that sets up a 25th anniversary “party” for America. It could literally be any nation on Earth with an Ax to grind, or who seeks the overthrow and demise of our country. China, Russia, Iran, Ukraine (when we can’t afford to give them money and arms). Literally any nation on the planet that would love to see America go down could put their assets in place.

But the greater threat is, what happens if several nations or theocracies combine forces?

9/11, as terrible as it was for us in 2001 apparently taught our leaders absolutely nothing. I am not saying for us to live in fear. We have the ability to fix the problem, what we appear to lack is the will. Perhaps more concisely we cannot force congress to execute our will. That is a serious problem because Congress doesn’t seem to remember they work for the American people. We should remind them!

Yes, today should be a day of remembrance for those victims of 9/11.

We should remember the valiant action taken by the passengers of Flight 93. We should bow our heads in prayer for all those first responders who died trying to save others, and those who died later of diseases caused by exposure to toxic materials. Many of those men and women rushed in, knowing the dust was likely dangerous, they heedlessly continued to search for, and help others, without any protection.

We should also see to it that nothing like 9/11 happens again. We should see to it our government is brought to heel, with the American people once agin holding the leash. That’s how I believe we should honor the fallen, not with grandiose speeches, empty promises, and outright lies.

We should honor them by returning to the safety, freedom, and security, our country enjoyed pre 9/11.

Ahh Bread and Circuses!

What a stupid mess!

I’m so sick of Trump, and of the Democrats & Republicans.

I weep for the state of justice in this country and fully expect, any time now, for assassination to become the de facto method used to settle election irregularities.

One thing that the Democrats can be very proud of, is they’ve silenced everyone with fear and law fare.

Remember, “If you see something, Say something.” Now that the IRS whistleblowers are looking at possible arrest and criminal charges BECAUSE they blew the whistle on the Hunter Biden investigation. It pretty much means that no more whistleblowers will come forward.

I guess the phrase now is “See Something, Say NOTHING!”

In other words, the corruption will be allowed to grow and will do so without opposition.

Lawyers who are in many cases useless, will now be even MORE useless because they’ll be afraid of the government using RICO statues and insurrection charges.

We’re going backwards. With just a few more iterations of corrupt law fare. We won’t have a presidential election. We’ll have WarLords being “Elected” via a Thunderdome process.

That would be interesting… No debates, just a fight to the death to determine who leads. Go ahead, laugh. It sounds outlandish, but lately the most outlandish theories often turn out to happen.

Remember when Ivermectin was a dangerous Horse Dewormer? (That assertion was an outright LIE!) Well guess what? Ivermectin is back in the WHO list of wonder medications for humans, and there’s also a recent peer reviewed study that says flat out Ivermectin is also an effective treatment for COVID.

As recently as 1 year ago saying something like the paragraph above would be shouted down as a DANGEROUS CONSPIRACY THEORY. I’d have been banned from Twitter & Facebook. I’d have been canceled and written off as a lunatic nut job.

Well bucko what are you going to say now? Still going to cancel me? Do you still feel the need to silence the freaking truth? A truth I might add that a very few courageous Doctors fought to bring to the public’s attention during the pandemic. A truth that in some cases cost them their careers?

Where is the outrage about that? When will we see conspirators in THIS LIE, appearing for booking at jails?

Oh and you jackasses in Sacramento… I haven’t forgotten that you were trying to pass laws that would strip a Doctor of their license to practice medicine if they had the temerity to speak out against the politically controlled narrative. You know, if they spoke about real science instead of manufactured bullshit designed to make a few people extremely rich, while terrorizing the general population.

Doctors, don’t think I’m defending you in general. I have a bone to pick with a bunch of doctors at a particular hospital. But those bastards and their incompetence are protected by law.

It’s another one of those situations where Right and The Law do not, and never will intersect.

I’ll never trust a doctor again. I’m even of half a mind to never let someone put me under a general anesthetic again. I want to be able to check the surgeons work. Just a reminder, if a doctor can not explain their diagnosis, and proposed course of treatment, in plain simple English, find another doctor! Because the SOB you’re dealing with, buries his mistakes, probably often.

I’m jumping around because the circus going on Georgia is part of the same bullshit. It’s the same show trial as the Jan 6th committee, the same as the impeachments, the same as Hunter Biden’s laptop is Russian disinformation, the COVID vaccination will prevent you from getting COVID… Oh wait, the COVID vaccination will make COVID less severe, Oh wait… It’s the same circus that had President Biden threatening the American people with “get a vaccination OR ELSE! “

I’ve had enough of this endless stream of runny bullshit. I know that I’m not alone in having reached my maximum.

Much as I hate to think of voting anymore in California. I’m so angry and disgusted I’d vote for a clone of Hitler at this point.

The thing about all this bread and circus shit is that I am personally embarrassed for my country. This is humiliating on the world stage and all these shitty politicians have no shame whatsoever. They should! I’d be all for bringing back Stocks in the public square.

Unfortunately I don’t think there’s enough rotten fruits and vegetables to pelt our feckless politicians, and lifelong bureaucrats.

I’m tired of TV and Movies with few exceptions. I think I’ll get back into video gaming. At least the puzzles and stories are entertaining and mentally stimulating. Maybe I’ll pick up a PS5 bundle I saw at Costco. It’s pricy but all the game consoles are pricy. I think the Costco bundle includes some additional and useful items.

How weird is that? I’m in my 60s and I’ve been reading a lot more, trying to avoid the news, not too interested in TV or current movies. Hulu is useful for me to sample movies and TV, I usually don’t make it though more than 15 mins of anything new. Here I am, contemplating a new game console. My Xbox 360 is pretty tired and the games I’ve enjoyed most on Xbox are from independent studios who also produce their games for PlayStation. The only Xbox game I’ll miss is Halo.

There is an advantage in the PlayStation. It’s Apple TV streaming capable, has a BluRay drive and therefore could serve as an “All In one” solution if I end up in an apartment for a while. I’ll have to do something interesting for a sound system. But that’s a bridge I’ll burn when I get there.

I’m still batting the issue around.

I’m very conflicted

I was thinking about removing the other half from the voter roles. There’s no conflict there, it should be done for the sake of clarity and also to make sure that some damn mail in ballot (Automatic in Kommifornia) doesn’t end up being used in his name. What’s that old joke? Something about voting Democrat all your life and well beyond? I can’t remember…

But then I got to thinking about it. Why not remove myself from he voter roles too?

I’ve become so disheartened voting in California that I feel it’s pointless. The recent Redistricting has reduced the power of what used to be a fairly conservative voting block in this area to almost nothing.

Our town is now part of Pasadena. The towns to the north have been sliced and divided into the liberal gimme gimme gimme crowd in the large city North of them, The other mountain communities have been folded into the crime ridden Democrat utopias in the valleys.

All this, mind you was done in the interest of “Joining like minded communities, with similar needs.” Uh Huh… sure, gerrymandering the lines the way it was done was about similar needs.

Nope! It was about weakening the voice of a fairly conservative block of voters in the mountain / high desert communities. Who by the way have almost nothing in common with the urban areas they were sliced and diced then distributed into. I can tell you without much doubt the only time Pasadena thinks about the mountains or the people living here is when they want to ski.

Then, the only concern they have for those of us who live here, is when they treat us like “THE HELP” and bitch that their TESLA can’t make it up the icy road. It’s so gratifying to be coming out of the grocery store with a couple of items and be screamed at to “DO YOUR JOB, clear this ice out so I can be on my way…”

But it’s also funny when a working guy who’s walked a mile or two, to the grocery store to get milk for his kids whips out a largish buck knife and punctures the sidewalls of two of the TESLAS’s tires as he walks by, never saying a word.

I’ve actually seen that happen. I thought the Tesla driver was going to have a stroke! I’ve also been screamed at as though I was a servant. I didn’t have a large buck knife at the time. (I do now.) But I lost my shit at the woman screaming at me, demanding that I dig her out.

It should be noted that I didn’t have a shovel so apparently this insane bitch thought I should be on my knees in the snow digging with my hands, instead of going back to my warm home with the goods I’d just purchased in the store.

UHHH NOPE!

I told her to call AAA. She replied they told her the wait was going to be 6 hours. Well, I guess you’ll have to wait 6 hours then… That’s what started the extremely hostile exchange between that bitch and myself. She didn’t seem to understand that 1) I didn’t work for her. 2) The town wasn’t like Disneyland or WestWorld. 3) That speaking to a free man like she was speaking to me less than 2 miles from his home wasn’t likely to get her the desired result because surprise! I wasn’t a slave. 4) I hate with every fiber of my being entitled skanks like her.

I did feel sorry for her son sitting in the back seat. He seemed truly mortified at his mother’s behavior. Every time she started screaming, he slid further down in the seat.

A couple of enterprising young men approached her with shovels, they had a large well equipped 4×4, & really nice tow straps, (the kind that are unlikely to do damage if they slip or break). They offered to get her back on her way for $500.00. These guys directed her to the bank ATM because they wanted cash.

Smart boys.

She really freaked out then. Threatening to give the town a bad review on yelp. The young men, several other locals, and myself all had a good laugh over that one. Fuck Yelp!

She refused, and the young men left to go “Help” the next unprepared moron.

It should be pointed out, this particular moronic woman and he child were not in any danger whatsoever. They could retire to the grocery store, or any of the restaurants within easy walking distance.

I digress…

In any case, I don’t much see the point of voting in California anymore. I honestly don’t see the point in voting in national elections anymore. The evil machine in Washington DC will NEVER release its parasitic hold on the levers of power.

The never ending impeachment / indictment/ sabotage / corruption / and double standards we’ve see over the past 16 years in our Government is plenty of evidence.

The United States of America is dead. May it rest in peace. The great experiment ran its course and the conclusion is humans were born to be dominated. When given freedom and justice they squander it, preferring instead to be ruled over by emperors, kings, dictators, or whatever else.

The bottom line is humanity desires to be slaves to anything, just as long as they don’t have to be responsible for themselves.

This country died and nobody noticed. I wonder how similar the USA’s death was to the Roman Empire’s? Did Rome just one day cease to be relevant? Did the Roman emperor just one day realize he controlled nothing?

With all the migrants, the divisiveness, and dysfunction, whatever rises to replace the USA will probably look a lot like the governments the migrants were trying to escape. It’s not the migrants fault per se, they’re coming here and bringing what they know and are familiar with. The fact that these migrants are from virtually every country on the planet means that all those voices will demand things be done “their way” and then it’s just a matter of time before the country gets sliced and diced up so that it looks more like Europe or the Middle East.

There was a time when I actually thought voting mattered. There was a time when I believed that my voice counted. I was stupid and terribly naive.

I do hope someone keeps a copy of The Constitution. I fear however that we’ll have an orgy of book and document burning that would be the envy of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party.

Yeah, I think I’ll remove myself from voter registration. At least until I move somewhere that my voice might have a chance of being heard, and my vote counted. Neither of those things will happen while I’m in Kommifornia.
