I thought about letting it go, but Naaahhhh!

Two articles jumped out at me.

I know they’re only articles from Breitbart, so there are some people who would say, “Oh you can’t believe what they say! They’re conservative, and not from the main stream. They’re basically The Enquirer!

Yeah sure. They’re also right more than they’re wrong, also I don’t have to put up with endless annoying paywalls that block my reading the first paragraph of an article. So whatever.

Anyhoo, these two articles are unrelated in almost every way.

MixCollage 17 Oct 2024 09 21 AM 3667 640x480.The first deals with a sudden increase of unaccompanied minors at Eagle Pass TX. The second deals with Swannanoa North Carolina, a town that was almost completely wiped out due to Hurricane Helene.

The unaccompanied minors story is shocking because some of the children are as young as 5. What the hell is that about? It looks like the CBP folks are taking care of the kids, many of whom have phone numbers either written on them, or they have phone numbers and addresses of relatives on slips of paper.

This whole border thing is a tragedy of the first order. I’m not heartless but I am mindful that lifeboats can only carry so many people before everyone drowns.

It costs between $250 & $750 a day to care for each one of these children. As of October 4, there are more than 6000 children being looked after. Even if you average the cost, per day, per child, over time the math is staggering.

IMG_0601 1 640x480.The second article about Swannanoa North Carolina is just sad.

The town is pretty much destroyed. Locals are living in the ruins of their homes or in tents on their ancestral land. I use that term because some of these folks have lived on these properties for 200 years or more.

They’re staying in tents for a couple of reasons. There’s no place for them to go locally. The nearest town is a 20 minute drive away (10-20 Miles?) and most of its businesses are closed.

Hotels are charging $200 a night and are pretty much booked. These folks are in some cases staying on their lands, afraid their land could be seized. By whom the article doesn’t say, but the government is the most likely villain.

There’s a history in some of these small towns, of the government suits coming in telling the people they’ve gotta leave, and saying, “If you don’t like it, take it up in court”.

These people are generally dirt poor and can’t afford lawyers and protracted legal battles. That’s how the government wins & also why there are many unsolved disappearances of government representatives in those mountains.

The government via the IRS operates the same way. They’ve made things so complex that it’s easier to pay whatever they say you owe than to hire your own accountants, & tax attorneys, and fight for years in court after court blowing time and money. The government knows this, they plan on it, and since our government hates us and looks upon us as nothing more than assets to be fleeced when they want to engage in a war or whatever, they know they’ll generally win. The really annoying part of them winning is that they do it by spending our own money against us.

I digress a bit. As a Southerner I have a deep, deep, distrust of the federal government. I totally understand why these folks in NC would live in tents to protect their property.

The article itself is about these people who have literally nothing left, mocking Kamala Harris & the Federal government over the “Generous” $750 per family assistance loans that FEMA is denying most of the time.

The mocking is over this: There is usually no, power, water, or internet, The stores are closed, these folks have lost their vehicles, so even if they were able to get to the nearest town they still wouldn’t be able to spend the “Assistance” because the next nearest town is in the same boat as they are.

Img EFS Imprinter 700px.Credit cards these days don’t work unless there’s power and internet access. Few, if any merchants have one of the old credit card imprint machines much less the receipt carbon stock. Not that they’d work since most cards these days don’t have the numbers embossed. It’s doubtful the employees would know that you can just write the card number on the carbon stock & get a signature.

Beyond that, a lot of folks might not even know how the old system worked, even if they do, I’d bet there are bank tellers who wouldn’t have a clue about processing a deposit bag with cash, checks, & credit card receipts.

But it’s richer. How are these people supposed to get the FEMA $750 credit card in the first place? They may not have mail delivery & even the post office is gone.

I know, you’re thinking, “Yeah, yeah, get to the point WWducat! So what, shits bad…”

Okay, here’s the point.

CBP is spending in some cases $750 per day per child of taxpayer money with no expectation of being paid back. They’re literally giving the money away.

FEMA is offering, and most of the time denying, a one time, one year, loan of $750 per family to American survivors of a natural disaster.

Secretary Mayorkas Official Photo. Both of these organizations track directly back to the Department of Homeland Security headed by Alejandro Mayorkas. A federal employee appointed by the Biden Harris Administration.

This is literally just one example of the complete disfunction of the federal government. I’m not suggesting that it’s all to be laid at the feet of the Biden / Harris regime. Some of the blame is surely theirs, but not all of it.

This kind of rot takes a long time to become entrenched and is exactly the kind of rot that needs to be burned out of our government.

This is a perfect example of why there is such growing fury on the part of the American People toward the government.

This is such blatant disparity it begs the questions; “What else is there? How much more waste and stupidity is yet to be found? How much of this kind of thing is generated by corruption? How much is criminal in nature and buried in layers of red tape?

You know, maybe the Southerners have a valid point.

Never trust the revenuers, or them fancy suits from the government that sent ‘em.

That’s probably why most Southerners will never give up their guns.

Y’all FEMA boys have a nice day now, ya hear.

That was pretty awful.

Article BretBaierFoxNewsInterview.By that, I mean the Fox interview with Kamala Harris and Bret Baier.

Despite what is being reported this morning, with some of her staff saying the Fox interview was an “Attack” I think it was pretty reasonable. After all if she can’t handle one reporter pressing for answers how is she going to handle a UN or NATO summit?

When he pressed her about a poll where 79% responded they thought America was on the wrong track and she started talking about Trump campaigning.

I thought, 1) “I wish they’d stop talking over each other,” and 2) “What the hell is she talking about?”

I was thinking along these lines;

No, Kamala, no, I don’t know what you’re talking about. Trump campaigning or not doesn’t change anything about what your administration has done and the mood of the American People. If Trump speaking can sway 79% of the people in a poll away from your policies, and administrations direction, then honestly I think the problem is with you & Biden.

That number is suggestive of you being remarkably out of touch with the American People and if you’ve missed the mark that substantially then Biden and by extension, you don’t, in my opinion, deserve the Presidency.

It was insulting that she’d try to use Trump as a boogy-man like that. Because if the Biden / Harris administration had been doing their job, and the American People were happy about the job they’d done over the past 4 years, Trump campaigning or not would have little effect on the Polls. Certainly not almost 80% of the people polled. I’d guess that the polling should be somewhere about 50/50 if everything was “normal”.

Put another way, only 20% of the country believes things are going well. In a simple Democracy that 20% would be ignored. Will of the majority & all right? Suddenly, the Electoral College doesn’t seem like such a bad idea does it?

I was never able to determine what she was alluding to with her “Trump was campaigning” word salad neither was Baier and further, she didn’t explain herself.

I’d hate to see her in a really contentious negotiation against say Putin, or Xi, or a Muslim state like Iran where women are only supposed to cook, clean, bend over, and never speak. “What does a woman know?

In those situations Harris or any Woman for that matter, better be clear & concise with her meaning. She’ll need to be direct and not attempt to wheedle her way into what she wants.

Yeah, maybe it means a woman will have to work harder as President. Those are the breaks, not every culture treats women with respect. If she can’t handle that, maybe she doesn’t have what it takes to be President.

Nonetheless, I’m really interested to see how the Democrats are going to install Kamala Harris in the Oval Office. They have to, you understand that right? If the Democrats lose, it may well be their end as a dominant party in what is essentially a two party system.

Once could extrapolate from the polls that a pretty substantial percentage of the American People are turning their backs on a party that hasn’t delivered on promises even though that party has been in control of The Presidency for 12 of the past 16 years.

I’m tired of hearing Kamala talk about Trump. I’d like her to answer fundamental questions about HER. What are her policies, what are her plans when she becomes President, what are her opinions about world events and does she have any thoughts about solutions to world problems?

KS joy view op.Believe it or not, much as I dislike the Biden / Harris administration, if Kamala Harris presented me with a better choice than Trump, I’d hear her out.

I don’t care that she’s a woman, or her race, or any of that shit. Despite what that vile, rancid, shrew, Joy Behar says, not supporting Harris, isn’t about misogyny.

The fundamental question is one of merit.

Does she merit a position in the Oval Office more than the other choice? Thus far the answer is a resounding “No”.

I’m still trying to listen…

I’m done with my accountant after 25 or more years

I purposely got them the tax shit on March 15th. I’d been shooting for February 20th however there were docs that didn’t show up on time.Taxes money.

Not that it mattered, I didn’t get the tax shit back until yesterday, October 15th. Oh, I’d been calling and being ignored leaving messages, over the past 6 months.

Had I gotten my taxes back in a more timely manner I’d have been able to actually plan to get the state and fed tax fuckers their damned money.

Yes, I’m super annoyed about the amount of taxes, because of the way this administration and California has been wasting the cash.

I’m way more annoyed that because this accountant dawdled and fucked around, I had absolutely zero maneuvering room to cash out some holdings to make writing the check a little less painful or dangerous.

Oh and I had to call the son of a bitch again a week & a half ago to lite a fire under his ass.

This by the way, is the second time this guy has fucked me like this. The first time Jerry, in his infinite kindness handled, never letting me know that it was this fucking accountants error that resulted in my being fucked.

I didn’t find this out until after Jerry’s death and like Jerry I assumed (apparently Incorrectly) that it was a one off. It wasn’t looking at the data, it looks like in 2018-2019 the guy did the same kind of thing.

He dawdled around, then filed an extension in April, then didn’t get us any of the necessary information until the very last day in October (the 15th) leaving us in a panic trying to get everything done before we missed the post office pickup.

Next year I’ll be finding someone else to do the fucking taxes.

I was pretty depressed yesterday. I’m pretty depressed today and I didn’t sleep worth a shit last night. However I’m recovering and who knows it might not matter anyway.

If Kamala wins as I’m pretty sure she will, we might not have to worry about taxes. People are pretty pissed across social media. Her stealing the election could well trigger a civil war. Trump winning could also trigger a passive aggressive civil war that would be just as bad.

There’s a bit of a move to write the Feds $750 checks next April and tell ‘em to go fuck themselves. You know what? I’m super into that!

It’s remotely possible that Trump gets into office and keeps his promises about seniors. In which case maybe I won’t have to pay taxes at all.

I’m not holding my breath.

I think we’re looking at a civil war.

Folks are angry and disgusted about a whole lot of stuff. Immigration, the Hurricane relief, the constant lies, Inflation, Being involved in wars over which we have no control, Crime rising, having our tax dollars going to foreign interests instead of to Americans, I’ve seen articles recently that say on November 10th The Biden /Harris administration will reveal their phenomenal management of medicare supplements which may triple the costs.

None of these concerns of the American People will prevent tone deaf Democrats from fucking around and putting Kamala in office. Then they’ll be surprised when riots start. They’ll point and say, “See this is the MAGA white supremacy we warned you about.” Although I suspect the mixture of skin tones will represent a pretty healthy cross section of the United States.

Kind of like “The Proud Boys” who don’t ya know, were a white supremacist group, being led by a Cuban American, with a healthy mix of Black, Latin, & White guys standing for what used to be “Normal” male values. God, Family, Country, you know the values that made our country strong.

All of which is to say, that I might not give a shit when the tax man comes, I might not be around to pay, or the Tax collectors might not be around to collect.

I’m not particularly inclined to pay whatever bill the accountant sends. I have bigger problems thanks to him.
