Although not quite as much as hearing Kamala speak.
It astounds me that it’s come down to a choice between Trump or Kamala. How did we come to be in this dire situation?
Surely, there are better, more qualified candidates!
I’ve gotten super tired of holding my nose while I’m voting. I will say I personally was better off under the Trump administration. I can’t say that is true for everyone but in my case and that of my other half it was very true.
What is unclear is, given COVID, plus a Trump administration, would we have been better off?
That’s a question for which I have no answer. Would Trump have done the same things that Biden did? Would he have followed advice that we’ve come to learn were actually procedures being pulled out of the medical establishments collective ass, or would he have called “BullShit” on them?
We’ll never know. I’d like to think that I would never have heard the words “Mandated Vaccinations” coming out of Trumps mouth, which I did hear on television from Biden’s own lips. I’d like to think that Trump wouldn’t have implied the unvaccinated were essentially plague carriers. Biden made that implication numerous times. I’d like to think that Trump would have done better than Biden at managing the crisis.
I don’t think that Trump is “Smarter” than Biden, but I think his business sense would have been more useful than a career politician’s reliance upon other career bureaucrats advice.
I’m pretty sure we’d be better off insofar as energy prices and possibly the economy too because under the Trump administration we’d still be pumping oil out of our own wells, not purchasing oil from countries that hate our guts.
Our transport costs would be lower and our cost of goods would be lower because transport was reasonable.
We’d be in a different place right now. Trump would be packing up because there’s no 3rd term allowed for a President. We’d be looking at two completely different candidates.
I’d hope that both candidates would be younger, and have newer ideas. It might even have been a toss up as to which party would present the American people with the best ideas.
Instead we’re likely to have 4 – 8 more years of Kamala. Or 4 More years of Trump, before we actually get to a President that will be able to do the job. At this point that is questionable.
It’s not just about the President, it also about the members of congress and the majority party there. Trump could probably do the job, but we know that if he wins, the next 4 years are simply going to be a repeat of his first four years.
In other words, he won’t get a damn thing done because he’ll be playing with Congress impeaching him every five minutes.
We need to move beyond that kind of bullshit.
There’s all of that going through my head. The most strident thought is that, I’ve gotten sick and tired of hearing Trump talk.
I don’t care if he’s guilty of whatever the fuck New York claims he did. I overvalued my property in order to get a HELOC. It’s up to the lender to make sure that the property isn’t ridiculously overvalued and oh yeah, that’s why they send inspectors out to evaluate the property prior to making the loan.
That Trump did the same damn thing I & everyone else selling property has done isn’t shocking. And I don’t think it constitutes guilt, especially when his lenders said they’d do it again because he paid the loan with interest, and everyone made money.
So the New York prosecutors can shove their 34 felonies right up their ass.
Apparently, the New York Appellate Court thinks the same thing. They heard the New York Prosecution make their case about Trumps conviction and asked the Prosecutors the same questions everyone else has been asking for months. Who was the victim? What was the crime? They also asked the prosecutors to cite any similar case.
In the end it sounded more like the prosecutors were begging to not have the court sanction them.
None of that affects my like or dislike of Trump, because it’s fucking obvious the issue was about getting Trump. Not seeking actual justice. The New York Appellate court said something similar to that as well.
I’m simply tired of hearing him speak. His voice and cadence have become almost as annoying as Joe Biden’s variable volume ramblings, or Kamala’s synthetic accents.
I know there are lots of people that are voting for Kamala and that’s their right. If I thought she was the least bit competent I’d probably vote for her too.
Unfortunately, she’s shown me literally nothing that I can point to and say “She did a good Job there.” From the border, to rural internet, to charging stations, foreign policy, or simply not being an embarrassment on the international stage, I can’t see anything I feel confidently she’s been good at.
I genuinely wish I could.
Trump is random enough, mercurial enough, and business man enough that I think he’ll be able to douse some of the fires that got started under the Biden / Harris administration. I don’t think he’s a messiah. I think he spooks the shit out of other countries and that is to our advantage.
The funny thing is, had the Democrats not lost their damn minds during Trump’s term I wouldn’t have believed that there was a vast conspiracy in the US government that did not have the best interests of the American People at heart.
If we didn’t have the Steele Dossier, the Pee Pee tapes, multiple impeachments, then all the follow-up law suits, I’d have thought Trump was nothing more than a poor loser. But all that crap happened, and most of that stuff fell apart upon inspection.
So who was telling the lies?
It’s opened the door for Trump to be perceived as the actual victim. The Democrats may as well have paid for Trump’s political advertisements. They kept him in the public eye, they played a shitty game, and the people, many for the first time (myself included) saw how much filth there was in politics.
Then you have two assassination attempts, and now all Trump has to do is look like a white fucking knight to win.
I think the bungled, and it was bungled, FEMA response to Hurricane Helene might have put Trump over the top. The stories coming out of NC from various charitable organizations, about FEMA encounters, are enraging.
Kamala has done herself no favors touting $750 aid.
Aside from the fact that the FEMA people say “Go Online to apply” and well Duh, there’s no power, no cell service, and no internet, telling someone to go online is really cruel and fucked up.
Some of the people literally hiked for a day to get to the nearest town only to be told basically “You’re Fucked” because we can’t help you apply but here’s a card with a phone number to call.
Aside from all of that…
1) it’s one year loan.
2) a lot of the folks in NC don’t qualify.
3) you dont’ qualify if you’re employed and have insurance.
4) those that do qualify, if they default will loose their home and land which is a great deal for the government.
5) it’s obvious that the $750 is a fucking trap aimed squarely at desperate people who are so poor all they have is their family land. Which begs the question why would the helpful people at FEMA do that?
Mayorkas, the head of FEMA, and Kamala Harris, being worried about Misinformation, which we’ve all come to interpret as information that the Government doesn’t want anyone to know, has pretty much cinched the belief that FEMA did indeed spend the money on Illegals, and has mismanaged everything else.
FEMA has been called out several times for claiming they set up StarLink or delivered generators when in fact the private pilots/owners of helicopters and independent charitable organizations did that stuff. And these folks can produce the receipts to prove it.
Trump asking Elon Musk to help with StarLink terminals and Musk saying, “Sure” then making the service free in the disaster zone. underscored the government incompetence. Given Musk’s recent issues with the FCC and other government organizations if he’d said “Sorry, I can’t do it.” He’d have been within his rights and would have really thrown mud at the government. But Musk chose instead to be helpful unlike the FCC, FEMA, and most of the rest of a government gone wild with corruption.
So FEMA has been caught unsurprisingly, in lies. Yet another nail in the coffin of the Biden / Harris administration. The ROT in FEMA probably predates the Biden/Harris & Trump / Pence administrations. But it’s come to light in the Biden / Harris administration.
There’s a phrase I see on X a lot, “You Don’t Hate Your Government Enough”. But clearly, our government hates us or so it seems.
I’m torn as to whether I want an investigation to get to the bottom of FEMAs stupidity or I simply want to see the organization ripped apart, everyone fired, and something new with accountability put in it’s place. A new organization sounds more efficient, one where none of the previous FEMA employees are allowed to be hired. There are still people waiting on FEMA payments from hurricane Ian.
I’m tired of the endless investigations, the lies, the obfuscation, and stupid excuses. All of these congressional investigations are pointless and demonstrate that not only will congress not do the work, or work together, but also that congress itself is weak and toothless.
Perhaps they’re not weak or toothless perhaps they’re just so corrupt they’re incapable of wielding the power they’re supposed to have.
Whoever ends up being President and I’m still betting on Kamala. May be the last, or next to last, elected president of this country.
I’m still betting on Kamala because I believe the rich arrogant Democrats will arrange to cheat. I think it will be Kamala because she’s easy to control, and she’ll be a slap in the face to everyone that still believes in the American dream. It’s essentially a message. “See, we control you and there’s not a fucking thing you can do about it.“
Well perhaps it will be more peaceful than the Russian Revolution, or China’s “Cultural Revolution” both of which were nothing more than pretty names for communism.
On Jan 20th 2025, as Kamala takes the oath of office with her fingers crossed behind her back. Nikita Khrushchev will be smiling.
