{"id":908,"date":"2012-07-06T20:39:48","date_gmt":"2012-07-07T03:39:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bone-in-the-throat.com\/Blog\/?p=908"},"modified":"2021-01-08T19:33:27","modified_gmt":"2021-01-09T03:33:27","slug":"boulder-day-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bone-in-the-throat.com\/Blog\/2012\/07\/06\/boulder-day-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Boulder Day 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: left\" src=\"https:\/\/bone-in-the-throat.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/DSC_1637.jpg\" alt=\"DSC 1637\" width=\"207\" height=\"312\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Got a very late start today.<\/p>\n<p>After a dinner Thursday night that was long and wonderful but late&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>We got to the hotel and just crashed.<\/p>\n<p>This morning we wandered around &#8220;Pearl Street&#8221; which is an open air shopping center that I recalled from my previous business trips. Pearl Street is a nifty bohemian , then we had a wonderful lunch.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Later in the day we went to Boulder Falls.<\/p>\n<p>It was grey and overcast when I started hiking the trail that lead to the falls. I&#8217;d been standing at the falls for about 4 minutes and the sky opened up.<\/p>\n<p>I was soaked to the skin in a matter of minutes.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been raining off &amp; on since then.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re talking rolling thunder and flashes of lightening. I&#8217;m enjoying hearing the rain pound on the roof of the hotel and I&#8217;m seriously glad I&#8217;m not out camping tonight.<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully tomorrow I&#8217;ll get to a couple of other locations and get some pictures.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Got a very late start today.
