What???<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been snowing pretty consistently for the past 24 hours. Thankfully it\u2019s been light and fluffy instead of the wet heavy stuff.<\/p>\n<p>That being said, it\u2019s very windy and bitterly cold. Today 28\u00b0F is warmer than it was yesterday. The wind chill is making it feel like 18\u00b0F.<\/p>\n<p>The dog who loves snow, wanted out. When I opened the door the wind kicked up blowing a bunch of icy snow in his face. He looked at me, then turned around and curled up on the couch. I\u2019ve never seen him do that before.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m going to have another cup of coffee and breakfast, then I\u2019ll bundle up and get to work. I\u2019ll have to fire up the snow blower to pitch in with the other neighbors to keep the road open.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: right;\" title=\"IMG_2550.jpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/bone-in-the-throat.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/IMG_2550.jpeg\" alt=\"IMG 2550\" width=\"350\" height=\"263\" border=\"0\" \/>Finding places to pile the snow is going to be a problem. We\u2019re expecting it to keep snowing until Sunday. Some forecasts call for up to 5 feet. For us it\u2019s more likely to be 3 or 4 feet if the forecast is anywhere near right.<\/p>\n<p>Then we\u2019ll have a break for a day. The forecast calls for additional smaller storms until Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>On the plus side, I\u2019ve got nothing to do except continuing to clean up stuff around the house. On the down side, I\u2019ll run out of space in the trash bins and it\u2019s likely the trash pickup will be delayed next week.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll try to update this post with pictures once I get out in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re a skier or snowboarder,\u00a0<strong>DON\u2019T<\/strong> come up here right now. The roads are a real mess. Our resources are stretched thin and if you get into trouble, you\u2019re probably going to be on your own.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: right;\" title=\"IMG_2549.jpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/bone-in-the-throat.com\/Blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/IMG_2549.jpeg\" alt=\"IMG 2549\" width=\"350\" height=\"263\" border=\"0\" \/>Even in good conditions, you should travel with water, a bit of food, and extra, warm outfits.
